50. Do I Wanna Know? - Arctic Monkeys

Should re-enter the top 30 this week! Might even get close to the top 20 again?

 

I take back saying AM's last album's B-Sides did better than the current ones, clearly judged that a bit early as I'm pretty sure now 'Stop The World I Wanna Get Off With You' is higher than any of the previous ones got. Might go top 100 officially? 'Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?' looks like it might well climb again this week too. Great week to lead into their album release (I see the 'AM' pre-order is at #1 on the albums chart now - guess that explains why the album version of 'Do I Wanna Know?' has shot up so much, it's now the higher version) :D

 

Next week will gonna be a GREAT week for the boys... AM is a masterpiece after 2 only a good albums... :P And number 1 a week before the resales it's very nice. I want at least 100K!

I've been listening to 'Lost Generation' and it has just occurred to me that Rizzle Kicks have never released a single about love or relationships in their career. :o Sounds random but they must be the only mainstream artists around today to never sing/rap about relationships. I wonder why they don't. :lol:

 

Shows that they are the one of the most non-cliched artists of this generation if anything else.

I hate when people knock the Arctics' last two albums as if they weren't a patch on the first two. To me they were just different and still pretty exceptional. Sales seem to cloud everything.

I thought the last 2 albums were good but a little bit too different in sound and not as consistent in quality! But they were still number 1 albums which is a great achievement!

 

AM sounds like classic Arctic Monkeys but more relevant and fresh, every track could be a potential single, I'd love to see it sell over 150k but that may be ambitious

 

Glad to see YM@6 slipping down the chart, truly awful but it will give them their first ever top 10

Katy Perry is No.1 with smash sales, Celine Dion came back with a new song and Made In The Usa is finally in the Top 100!!! So exciting week!!! :wub:

I'm not sure it will go top 10 by Sunday. It's #11 in the midweeks and could easily be out of the iTunes top 10 by tomorrow afternoon. Maybe #14 or #15 officially?

I think AM can definitely clear the 100K mark; this album seems so much more hyped than the last 2.
