Taylor Swift's '22' was another one. It rocketed to #9 and then fell just as fast as it climbed.

Rudimental Featuring Foxes Right Here 14 72-63R(14)-24-{14}-23-33-62->7

I think there's quite a difference there

22 had a good chart run as 3rd official single. We can't compare it with the mediocre single of Rudimental..I totally agree with Joseph. There's quite a difference there..:)

Obviously but it was a very steep climb/fall for a post-album single. :P

Seeing as 'Flatline' has fallen from #12 to #25 in less than 48 hours, I can see it missing the top 40 now :(

Bad bad idea to release it on a Friday.

And it only made #50 this week. :( Terrible release decision!

The release stategy was always going to be disastrous. I suppose they just wanted more sales from the Alan Carr performance and are the record company are going for sales over peak. I think it would have peaked somewhere between 20-25 if it had been released today.

I find it weird how it peaked so high yet spent so little time in the top 40, but the song itself is great in my opinion (although I did want Baby to be a single instead of it).

Better examples than 22 might be Kiss the Stars by Pixie Lott and Animal by Conor Maynard.

But if they'd released it a week ago, people would still have been able to buy it on Friday. That's what I don't understand.

Yeah if they had wanted the full sales boost from Alan Carr it would have been sensible to just move it forward a whole week, even although the Alan Carr boost wasn't really that big anyway.

I remember Kiss the Stars! It was alll over radio, ours played it for ages, reminds me of dark wintry nights.

I wanted State of Grace released as I didn't think #22 would do well here and it didn't. Wonder if it was a fan base buy or something that got it shooting to 9 orrr if people just got bored quickly.

Capital Cities 'Safe and Sound' is going to be huge when released. I heard it earlier on my local radio which normally sticks to old songs (Sweet Home Alabama was played straight after  )
New Eminem single available on Amazon MP3 - Still no sign of Katy Perry though!! :kink:

X-Factor

39. Icona Pop - I Love It (feat. Charli XCX)

46. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Can't Hold Us (feat. Ray Dalton)

93. David Guetta - Titanium (feat. Sia)

114. One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful

238. Nina Simone - Feeling Good

354. Michael Bublé - Feeling Good

399. Chase & Status & Liam Bailey - Blind Faith (feat. Liam Bailey)

481. Amy Winehouse - Back to Black

601. Muse - Feeling Good

714. Little Mix - How Ya Doin'? (feat. Missy Elliott)

.

It was amazing to hear 'Blind Faith' on XF - not a particularly brilliant performance but fantastic song choice. Doubt it'll come close to even the top 100 though sadly. 'Titanium' to return to the top 100 yet again, it recently overtook 'I Gotta Feeling' as the song with the most weeks top 100 in the decade to date.

Leona Update :cheer:

#128. Footprints In The Sand

#138. Run

#332. I Will Be

#1186. Bleeding Love

Love X-factor season. Leona's always returning with old hits. :D

I think somebody with a big voice should do a karaoke version of Glassheart for X Factor, the song is really overlooked.

Leona's management was the worst last year..She should fire these useless people. "Glassheart" should be her second single instead of "Lovebird".

I think she did fire them to be fair

Wish she'd released that amazing song -if not as a first single, then a second!
