September 15, 201313 yr 24 (from 19) Naughty Boy Feat. Emeli Sandé - Lifted [D] http://a2.mzstatic.com/us/r2000/003/Music6/v4/28/d4/ae/28d4aeae-e6e8-0662-a67f-1fb48eafbcce/13UAAIM43714.170x170-75.jpg Chart Run: 8-12-19-24 [4 wks] Release date: 18-08-2013 Format: download only single Label: EMI Music Sales: 70k+ Video here: 9Yi_o8iB0b0 Biography Producer Shahid Khan, aka Naughty Boy, pursued music seriously after he dropped out of university and worked a number of unsatisfying jobs. He debuted in 2006 with the single "Phat Beach (I'll Be Ready)," but his first major work was his songwriting and production for Chipmunk's "Diamond Rings," a playful ska-rooted single that featured a pre-fame Emeli Sandé and reached the Top Ten in his native U.K. in 2009. The next year was bigger, highlighted by productions for Professor Green, Tinie Tempah, and Wiley (the Top Ten "Never Be Your Woman"), all of which involved Sandé. Khan then worked extensively on Sandé's breakthrough 2012 album Our Version of Events. That October, he released the solo single "Wonder," with Sandé returning the favor as the song's lead vocalist and co-songwriter. "La La La," featuring Sam Smith, was released in May 2013 and topped the U.K. chart, which set the stage for Hotel Cabana, Khan's debut album for Virgin. - iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): Naughty Boy 2010 08 Never Be Your Woman (Naughty Boy Presents Wiley feat. September 15, 201313 yr First "Pearce" to be named on a chart hit since Mary Pearce was featured on tracks by Up Your Ronson in 95/96/97. Not bad either, the instrumental backing reminds me of "Passion" by Gat Decor from 1992
September 15, 201313 yr Yeah, sadly prostituted by TESCO. :manson: Tesco also used 'Ice Cream' by Battles in an advert a few months back. Why couldn't that song become the hit? Sigh.
September 15, 201313 yr We have ourselves a Naughty Boy sandwich Surely you name a sandwich by that is in the middle (i.e. the filling), not the outsides (i.e. the bread)

September 15, 201313 yr Surely you name a sandwich by that is in the middle (i.e. the filling), not the outsides (i.e. the bread) I keep making this point, but to no avail :(
