November 25, 201311 yr It's probably the two most exciting guests they've had this series so far (although saying that 1D were fab). Rebecca Ferguson is about as exciting as watching paint dry, or even watching cricket.
November 25, 201311 yr Rebecca Ferguson is about as exciting as watching paint dry, or even watching cricket. Granted when it comes to 'Nothing's Real But Love' but 'Glitter and Gold' and 'I Hope' are much more upbeat!
November 26, 201311 yr Not sure if this has been touched yet in this thread but does anybody know why JLS performed (their worst single to date, IMO) Everybody In Love with the finalists instead of trying to nab a performance slot with their floptastic farewell single Billion Lights? (which is actually quite good, also IMO)

(which is actually quite good, also IMO) I am sure the fan excuse bingo of, it was a buzz single, it was just something new for the fans not a proper release, everyone was buying the album as it was out the same week, they wanted to promote the album, they wanted to promote the tour. One of those will provide you an answer.
November 26, 201311 yr Or maybe they just thought it was more sensible for their final ever performance on the X Factor to be a big song that people actually know. Realistically nothing was going to make 'Billion Lights' a hit so they might as well have gone out with a familiar and well-proven song.
November 27, 201311 yr It will be interesting to see what reaction James Arthur gets when he performs on Sunday.
November 27, 201311 yr Wouldnt be surprised if James Arthur gets a demo outside, inside it's just happy clappy staged stuff...
November 27, 201311 yr It will be interesting to see what reaction James Arthur gets when he performs on Sunday. He still has a fanbase and a lot of people who like him I think this supposed backlash against him has just been overestimated I wouldn't be suprised to see Recovery go top 20 maybe even top 10 after he performs. November 27, 201311 yr She wasn't on at all last season. The fact of the matter is, if SyCo want to keep selling the idea of winning the show as giving a certain level of career/lifestyle/LURE then Leona is the best to do it. It may have been brief, but she has a very strong start to her career and only with the last album has it tailed off. 1D and Olly have probably done better overall but the show isn't going to say 'HEY, WINNING IS A BIT CRAP REALLY, TAKE PART AND AIM TO COME SECOND OR THIRD'. It's true that they have a right to put whoever they want on, and it's wishful thinking to suggest that they're going to abandon their most successful winner and totally undermine the prestige of the show. However, the real issue is Leona fans being deluded enough to claim her last album flopped because of lack of promotion(!!), when in reality she got a spot on the biggest promotional platform in the country, yet was still comfortably outsold by countless acts who didn't get that promotional privilege. If you perform to ~8m viewers and your album still flops, it's safe to say the material is just bad and would never succeed no matter what. Edited November 27, 201311 yr by Danny

December 1, 201311 yr Author Wouldnt be surprised if James Arthur gets a demo outside, inside it's just happy clappy staged stuff... We also got a clearly staged and scripted apology! *Chart performances updated on front post btw*
December 2, 201311 yr Line-up for the final confirmed! The Killers Tom Odell (!!!!!!!) Gary Barlow and Elton John Katy Perry One Direction
December 2, 201311 yr Author Just saw that, a bit random tbh! But amazing to see XF having some variety for once! :D Also, I think they'll have one more act yet to announce. Last year they had three guest performers on each night, so far we've only got The Killers and Tom Odell for night one. Maybe, one of the duet performers will perform again? December 2, 201311 yr Massive 'EWW' @ The Killers, Elton John and Gary Barlow. Katy performing 'Unconditionally' (presumably?) will be PERFECTION *.*

Maybe, one of the duet performers will perform again? Hopefully it'll be Leona. :kink: I like the line up for the final though! Good variety of acts. :)
December 2, 201311 yr If they have one more spot I hope it's Kelly  Kelly is ill due to her pregnancy. (bad morning sickness I think). She tweeted to her fans that she was sorry you couldn't do promo for the album. :( Edited December 2, 201311 yr by Envoirment
December 2, 201311 yr Author Also, the last two years one act on the final night (usually the headline act; e.g. 2011 it was Coldplay and 2012 it was Rihanna) performs two songs. I'm guessing this year it will probably be Katy Perry. If so, PLEASE PLEASE DARK HORSE TOO!
December 2, 201311 yr Kelly is ill due to her pregnancy. (bad morning sickness I think). She tweeted to her fans that she was sorry you couldn't do promo for the album. :( OK that's understandable. Just hope Underneath the Tree can get some promo one way or another :(
