He will be performing, it's just a question of when. The more likely reasoning is that he'll be performing in the semi-final/final to sing his second single as that's where the male winners have failed in the past.

Because he might feel as if he wants to have the same exposure as most other artists and work his way up so that his popularity can reach up to the standards of Katy Perry and Robin Thicke one day. They could have had three performances on the show if they wanted so there has a reason as to why James isn't on the main show.

Good on him, I say.

If that was the case, surely he wouldn't have even applied to X Factor in the first place, no? I do agree that there must be some sort of reasoning behind it though.

Maybe they thought it'd be best to promote either the week after the album comes out or just before his second single, to keep the album selling. It's going to be a big album anyway I think, so maybe they don't see the point in promoting the first week or two?

Urgh! Glad Im out DJing tonight!

It is going to be even weirder to see given it is going to be sung by some middle aged, tubby pub singer. Given Shelly was bottom of the vote, they are not doubt setting her as the joke act now.

Is it not possible that James Arthur is just performing next week instead?

This. As if they'll shove him to the Xtra Factor and not have him perform on the main show full stop...

"Lorde, just have the #1 if you want..." says James Arthur.

I'm sorry if this has already been answered but I couldn't find anything.

Is Katy Perry's Unconditionally out this sunday?

Probably Monday (along with her album). Even without hearing the song yet, i can pretty much tell it'll go top 3/5 next week off an XF performance alone

Thanks for replying SS ^_^

My prediction:

1 Lorde

2 Katy Perry

3 James Arthur

4 OneRepublic

5 Miley

But she'll be singing 'Roar', and 'Unconditionally' really isn't strong enough to be a cherry pick favourite. (In my humble opinion. She usually does surprisingly good ballads but this just falls flat.)

Lorde and James have got the top two sewn up, I'd say. Glad the former is looking far stronger, though.

Thanks for replying SS ^_^

I would switch Katy Perry and James Arthur around if she's not releasing a separate single version tomorrow...

01 Lorde

02 James Arthur

03 Katy Perry

04 OneRepublic

05 Miley Cyrus

I might be wrong but I'm sure I read somewhere in a paper or magazine that Lady Gaga is releasing a new single next week which could mean a other busy top 10, maybe 4 or 5 new entries perhaps!!

As long as Showtek goes top 10 I'm not bothered about anything else!

Gaga is releasing the first promo single 'Do What You Want' feat. R Kelly on Monday (maybe Tuesday worldwide).

The second official single 'Venus' is premiering next Friday with a Sunday release. Knowing her it will all go tits up and she'll rush release it early again though :drama:

No.59 AWOLNATION - Sail

Better late than never...:)

No.68 Paul McCartney - New

I just heard it..It's not "something new"..It's something usual for him..:)

No. 102. James Arthur - You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You (pre-order)

I just heard it today too. I didn't like his "Impossible" version but i totally like the new one!!!

No.114 Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Red Right Hand

Nick Cave was one of the most successful artists in my country 15-18 years ago..

Is this worldwide including the UK, or "worldwide" not including the UK? :P
