Edward Christopher "Ed" Sheeran (born 17 February 1991) is an English singer-songwriter. Raised in Framlingham, Suffolk, he moved to London in 2008 to pursue a musical career. That happened with Rihanna You Da One/Talk That Talk as well. Even though You Da One was confirmed as the 2nd single and had airplay on Capital and Radio 1 for 2 weeks before the album release, it debuted at the bottom of the top 40 and Talk That Talk at #25 iirc.

To be fair, Let Me Go is being promoted as the 3rd single and has a music video so it isn't THAT strange.

Where have Radio 1 got the now often wrong 7th number 1 for both Eminem and Rihanna from? It is their 8th each!

 

I presume it's from the OCC, who tweeted the same claim last weekend. It is true that they only have six previous lead-credit Number Ones so far and one each as featured artist - but obviously if you don't count the featured credits that would make this Eminem's seventh and Rihanna would still only be on six.
