Did that Joel Compass song ever get a release?

I think it was out before they added it

Yeah Run was a rerelease with a Pusha T feature!

So gutted Josh Record wasn't alisted its a fantastic track!

It's Record Of The Week on Radio 2! I know it's even more country than Wake Me Up but I never imagined Avicii on the Radio 2 playlist! I'm sure Radio 1 will playlist it next week.

I thought Radio 2 playlisted Wake Me Up too? I know Heart FM play it all the time. But it's not really that strange, since these stations play David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia too.

If anyone wants a retro, let me know, plus the year ;)

Yes please :w00t:

OMG. Charlotte Church, 'Even God Can't Change the Past' <3 Absolutely beautiful song. I'm gutted both that and 'Moodswings' weren't bigger :( Also, ew at them playlisting 'Ultraviolet' and not the superior 'The Ballad of Paul K' for McFly. Reminds me of the whole 'Baby's Coming Back' and 'Transylvania' situation. The latter being the more superior choice, but the former was "nominated" or whatever as the main A-Side :(

Wow amazing retro it just shows the mixture of older and newer radio 1 had a decade ago - I can't believe they still alisted the darkness & jamiroquai as late as 2005 it was a complete mix of old - stereophonics/Jay k/Madonna/oasis & new Arctic Monkeys/rihanna!

Lol at the upfront list too just songs they thought would be big rather than like now with artists they will push in the future Nizlopi would challenge for Xmas no1; Notorios big would be no1 the following January & Greenday were massive !!

I agree. 2003-onwards does not scream nostalgia for me.

Yeah 2003-2007 were the indie revival years whereas 2009-2012 had too much electro - can never find the right balance!!
You say indie, I say urban.

And both are stupidly wide categorisations which are silly to dismiss outright.

Great to see Chase & Status added :D , but where the hell is Avicii's 'Hey Brother'?!
Avicii was todays Record of the Day on radio 1, is out on xmas week (16/12). It will get added next Wednesday!

To be honest, I think there's a good balance right now, but probably in a year or two something else is going to blanket dominate.

Great to see Rihanna's "What Now" on the list, hopefully it'll become some sort of hit - at least radio and video airplay are at the same time now. Pleased that she's not rushing new material either, let "The Monster" be your big hit for 2013.
