Luke - Best Thing I Never Had | 8/10 - I really loved how he put his spin on the song, but what prevented me from giving it a 10 was that he sounded a little too shouty in places

Nicholas - Halo | 5/10 - I found the very last segment of the song pretty good (aka the last 20 secs) but the first part was too low for him and when his voice cracked in places, it was awkward to watch.

Sam - If I Were a Boy | 8/10 - There's no doubt that she's an incredible singer, but I found it a little too shouty when she went into the really high notes.

Rough Copy - Survivor | 9/10 - I cannot believe I'm saying this as I have gone off them the past few weeks, but that was up there with the likes of their week 1 performance. Tight harmonies and it was ENTERTAINING.

 

Nicholas - Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me | 8/10 - Vocally, SO much better than his first performance, however, his performances are getting so samey.

Luke - Something About The Way You Look Tonight | 9.5/10 - That was STUNNING. There was one section where he went into a different key and it was so gripping. The only thing that kept it from a 10 was how shouty the very last 'Something About The Way You Look Tonight' sounded but that aside, performance of the night for me.

Rough Copy - Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word | 7/10 - Ugh so annoying because it started off BEAUTIFULLY but then they just kind of lost it as it went along, some weak harmonies near the end, but it's a fantastic song and prior to the weak harmonies it was really heading somewhere.

Sam - Candle In the Wind | 7/10 - This was beautiful in places, but a little too oversung in places also for me.

I think I'm definitely backing him ftw right now. He's the one with the most potential now and I personally loved what he did with this. He's been on a roll these last couple of weeks!

Apart from the last 40 seconds or so, I actually didn't think it was THAT bad, personally. It was definitely on/off more than usual for him this week. I think it was a desperate attempt to get sympathy votes, because I think he knows Luke would go further than him.

I am pleased she managed to not be predictable with her song choice (definitely thought 'Halo' was hers), but what she did with it WAS predictable, but she's so good when she's really on it. I liked it a lot!

09.5 Rough Copy | 'Survivor'

SMASHED. IT. HTF did they manage to win round 1? My favourite of their performances, easily. I didn't think their vocals were crap either! Ugh. Can't believe I'm saying this but... they deserve to be in the final after that!

Yeah, it was, vocally, decent enough I guess. He's just NOT a popstar though. So dull. I don't think he should be in the final after these last couple of weeks. He's been pretty MOR.

I actually liked that. Performance wise, it was probably a little dull, but I liked everything else about the performance. I thought he did a very good job with it.

06.5 Rough Copy | 'Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word'

It was "ok". I thought they were much stronger vocally than the last few times they've done a ballad. But one gripe... they were moaning about it being "hard" because it was a "solo song" or whatever... Blue had no problem with doing it! So there are definitely moments that could have used a little bit of their harmonies. But meh. Definitely weaker than their first performance.

07.0 Sam B | 'Candle In the Wind'

Really enjoyed it in a couple of parts but a lot of the performance it sounded like (to me at least) she was struggling with it. I don't know whether it's because it wasn't in her "note" or whatever technicality it is, but it sounded like she needed a dump majority of the time.

This. She's got a good voice but she's no popstar IMO and and she's nothing all that original.

 

I think it goes without saying that Luke was my favourite last night. I'd put Rough Copy second as they pleasantly surprised me, with Sam third and Nicholas last, despite a good second performance.

omg LOL. Nicholas' performance of 'Halo' sounds even WORSE in iTunes quality. He actually butchered it and then some. :drama:

I am not watching this boring ass mess anymore, but Tamera should still be there :(. I do think Sam will win though, I wouldn't care though. Obviously going to have a big winners single and maybe an okay selling album but that will be it.

Now that Tamera is out I'm baking Rough Copy to win I thought they smashed it last night . I'm hoping Nicholas goes tonight but I have a feeling he will stay in .

Gonna guess Rough Copy will be leaving us tonight.

I'm gonna guess that if Nicholas is in 3rd place in the votes, they will go to a sing off.

Hope Nicholas is gone (despite how BAD Rough Copy are).

 

If Luke goes though, I will be GUTTED. :( Sam B better not either.
