December 15, 201311 yr Full vote breakdowns! http://xfactor.itv.com/2013/news/insider/r...item_100287.htm
December 15, 201311 yr Sam and Nicholas MILES ahead for the most part then, though surprised to see Luke so close last night! Would have loved him to have made it to tonight, that would have been hilarious.
December 16, 201311 yr No wonder everyone else had been in the bottom 2, it was Nicholas and Sam then the rest just battling to stay in.
December 16, 201311 yr Well, this time last year, I heard Kiss You for the first time. This performance has certainly not sold this song to me - sounds like a bad rip-off of a Def Leppard song or something and I could barely even hear the chorus, the vocals seemed to be drowned out.'Pour Some Sugar On Me' is what it has been compared to! (Totally hear it too) Great song and I actually really enjoyed the performance. I really hope Nicole is back next year, she really is a diamond among the bucket of turd that is this year.I love her. She better be back next year! I think she's likely to stay tbh. This is my main problem. I do adore Sam so it's nothing against her, and she did do it so much better than I expected but I just hate that song being covered. It means so much to me and even more to Demi - I'm wouldn't even be a massive fan if Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood sang it.Hmm... interesting... in1uHxP7sdY :heehee: Such a great version, but I agree that I doubt anyone will come close to Demi's version in terms of rawness and realness. It suits the song too so I don't get the criticism her version gets!
December 16, 201311 yr Not surprised in the slightest. They need to step it up with the song choices next year, make it appeal more to the younger generation rather than just catering to old women. Who outside of the ages of 40+ is realistically going to buy an album by Sam Bailey or Nicholas McDonald? For a start they could make leave the choice of who goes out to the public vote and just have one save me like in American Idol Why should the public spend their money voting only for the judges to choose who goes Also why did they drop the flash vote? December 16, 201311 yr Why are all the winners songs covers. Why don't they give them original songs. Especially as some of them are so recent. Skyscraper was a hit for Demi Lovato only few months ago. The only original was That's My Goal by Shayne Ward in 2005 2004 - Steve Brookstein - Against All Odds -- original by Phil Collins 2006 - Leona Lewis - A Moment Like This -- original by Kelly Clarkson 2007 - Leon Jackson - When You Believe -- original by Mariah Carey & Whitney Houston 2008 - Alexandra Burke - Hallelujah -- original by Leonard Cohen 2009 - Joe McElldrey - The Climb -- original by Miley Cyrus 2010 - Matt Cardle - When We Collide -- original by Biffy Clyro 2011 - Little Mix - Cannoball -- original by Damien Rice 2012 - James Arthur - Impossible -- original by Shontelle Edited December 16, 201311 yr by euro music
December 16, 201311 yr Hmm... interesting... in1uHxP7sdY :heehee: Such a great version, but I agree that I doubt anyone will come close to Demi's version in terms of rawness and realness. It suits the song too so I don't get the criticism her version gets! Legit COMPLETELY missed that :o #floploon Like you say, no one comes close to Demi but Kelly is pretty good at it. Still, it's a song I don't like being covered regardless :(
December 17, 201311 yr Author Nicholas and his mum have been laying into the judges apparently. Bitterness.
December 17, 201311 yr Author Sam has criticised the show as well, so I don't think it is bitterness. Sam criticised the producers for focusing on sob stories and trying to get a story out of her. Nicholas and her mother are just taking tasteless digs at Gary and Louis for being critical of him / supporting Sam.
December 17, 201311 yr Well Nicholas raised good points, if it was Sam the Forehead or Sam Bailey making the same comments, you wouldn't be here calling them tasteless or bitter.
