So glad Counting Stars did well - remember listening to it when it was high in the Australian chart and thinking it was great, then it started to creep up iTunes here :)

1 Story Of My Life

Biography

Following the success of JLS and the Wanted, X-Factor contestants One Direction were the next group of heartthrobs to help revive the previously dying concept of the boy band. Niall Horan from Mullingar, Ireland; Zayn Malik from Bradford; Harry Styles from Cheshire; Louis Tomlinson from Doncaster, and Liam Payne from Wolverhampton (the latter had previously reached the judge's house stages of The X-Factor as a 14-year-old back in 2008) originally entered the 2010 seventh series of the talent show as individuals, but following a suggestion from guest judge Nicole Scherzinger, they were grouped together to become One Direction. Mentored by Simon Cowell, they soon became one of the favorites to win the show, thanks to renditions of Kelly Clarkson's "My Life Would Suck Without You," Elton John's "Something About the Way You Look Tonight," and Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart." However, despite receiving a standing ovation for their duet with Robbie Williams ("She's the One") in the live final, they eventually finished third behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. Spotting the potential of five Justin Bieber-esque teen pinups, Cowell signed them to his Syco label in a £2million deal, and after performing on the X-Factor tour, the quintet began work on their debut album with Savan Kotecha (Britney Spears, Enrique Iglesias). Following a sponsorship deal with Nintendo DS and a book, Forever Young, named after their cover of the Alphaville classic which was intended to be their winner's song, they released their first single, "What Makes You Beautiful," in late 2011. The full-length album, Up All Night, followed soon after. In 2012, One Direction became the first British band to debut on top of the Billboard 200 list when Up All Night sold over 176, 000 copies during its first week of release in America. In late 2012, One Direction released its sophomore album, Take Me Home. Highlighting more of the band's melodic pop, Take Me Home featured songs and production via Sweden's Carl Falk, Rami Yacoub, and Savan Kotecha, who worked on Up All Night, as well as contributions from singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. In August of 2012, the band released the single "Live While We're Young" online. - iTunes

Yay @ this back in the top 10. Looks like that 1-6 drop didn't hurt it at all, similar to Robbie's 'Candy' from last year. 2012
Wasn't expecting Martin Garrix to be as high as #8! 3rd highest position to date, not bad.

Biography

Growing up in Sidcup, South East London, 2013 U.K. X Factor winner Sam Bailey had always had a passion for singing. The keen vocalist had worked the cruise ships in her early twenties and had previously worked as a session vocalist before moving to Leicester, U.K. to start a family and eventually become a prison officer. After wowing the judges with her performance of Beyoncé's "Listen" at the room auditions, Bailey was instantly put through with four yeses from the judges, and after sailing through the rest of the auditions, she was put under the wing of mentor Sharon Osbourne. A firm favorite from the start, Bailey went on to take the top spot nearly every week when it came to the public vote. On reaching the final, Bailey performed covers of Jennifer Rush's "The Power of Love" and Demi Lovato's "Skyscraper," securing her place as the winner of the show. A recorded version of Skyscraper was released a day after the final via digital download, and as part of the winner's prize Bailey would support Beyoncé on the U.K. leg of her 2014 Mrs. Carter world tour, as well as securing a million pound recording contract with Syco Music. - iTunes

Just time filling by repeating this Truth Or Dare. They don't need an hour for the Top 10.

Why do we have to listen again to these interviews?

I'm surprised Sam Baily is this high, must be the physicals helping her out.

I had forgotten this even existed. Out of the top 10 already next week then.

Why couldn't they have done a montage of tunes expected to chart in 2014 instead if they wanted to fill time? Simples!

Yes, would have been better. Wes used to do a montage of what was likely to chart next week.

This "interview" was cringeworthy and pointless the first time. Even more so the second time around.

Even playing "Animals" again would be an improvement.

I remember Mark Goodier doing it too, every week just before the Top 10. The album chart used to be the Top 10 albums just before the Top 20. :)
