01 I think the first two verses are the best parts of this - all the other parts are quite underwhelming which is stopping me from charting this. :( I know Shakira isn't a massive artist here but I was expecting a collaboration between these two to be a lot more powerful.

 

02 She should do a remake with M.I.A because it may as well be her song! :P I do like this, many seem to not be keen but I think this style of music works.

 

03 Not really keen on this which is a shame as I love Paloma's previous music. It's good that she's experimenting with a different sound but unlike with Lily Allen's track, it doesn't work that well for me. :(

 

04 This will be a high entry in my chart next week, I love it - this era's 'Broken'! :wub: I'll have to give the album a listen this week; I already have his debut and that was really good, nice mix of influences of modern and retro acts.

 

08 I'm biased, I know, but I do think this is a really strong lead single for Kylie. It's very uplifting and when I listened to it for the first time, I got a similar feeling to how I felt when hearing 'All the Lovers' for the first time. :wub:

01 I think the first two verses are the best parts of this - all the other parts are quite underwhelming which is stopping me from charting this. :( I know Shakira isn't a massive artist here but I was expecting a collaboration between these two to be a lot more powerful.

 

02 She should do a remake with M.I.A because it may as well be her song! :P I do like this, many seem to not be keen but I think this style of music works.

 

03 Not really keen on this which is a shame as I love Paloma's previous music. It's good that she's experimenting with a different sound but unlike with Lily Allen's track, it doesn't work that well for me. :(

 

04 This will be a high entry in my chart next week, I love it - this era's 'Broken'! :wub: I'll have to give the album a listen this week; I already have his debut and that was really good, nice mix of influences of modern and retro acts.

 

08 I'm biased, I know, but I do think this is a really strong lead single for Kylie. It's very uplifting and when I listened to it for the first time, I got a similar feeling to how I felt when hearing 'All the Lovers' for the first time. :wub:

1. I really like the whole song actually, very catchy and their voices work so well together. Got to admit though, I am quite shocked at how badly it's doing so far. Think it'll re-enter the top 40 (after presumably dropping out in the next chart) when we get the video though.

2. It's quite different for her actually, but it works. Don't want an album full of this stuff though.

3. It's definitely a grower, I was very underwhelmed at first but I absolutely love it now. Not her best but still great.

4. It really is a stunning song, his best for me, was never bothered before this but it got me to check out his other stuff. Broken is another great song, my favourite from the debut alongside Lightning Bolt. The 2nd album is better though IMO.

8. Perfect lead single IMO, think it's got all the makings of a hit! If Radio 1 jump on board then I think she stands a chance of #1. If not I think it'll be top 5, which is still fantastic for someone who's meant to be "past their prime" in the eyes of many.
