 22 The Weather Girls- It's Raining Men

Guessing this is a campaign to get this to #1 after a UKIP concillor blamed the flooding on gay marriage.

I find it ironic that it's become a gay anthem, since the lyrics refer to straight relationships...

Still quite disappointed at how quickly Gorgon City have slowed down but at least they are still gaining a bit.

Clean Bandit have extended their lead slightly from will.i.am's peak, I'd imagine 'Feelin' Myself' will be easily #1 in the midweek update but it look like there is hope for 'Rather Be' to hang on after all. Hopefully whoever is #1 will still sell at least 90k, not really sure what to expect of Clean Bandit's 2nd week sales.

 62. 2 On (feat. Schoolboy Q) - Tinashe

This is holding up very well so far! Shame it missed the top 100 last week due to having less than a full week of sales but fingers crossed it should make it in this week.

 67. Same Love (feat. Mary Lambert) - Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

Not surprised at this getting a big boost from the Grammys, could get close to the top 40 again I think.

 89. Lived a Lie - You Me At Six

Could finally get a third week top 100 :P

Has the Mary J Blige remix of F For You been released on iTunes?

Don't think so. I'd imagine it would be pretty high if it was.

Heard that on Kiss the other day, sounded great! It should give a boost to F For You if/when it gets released on itunes. :)

You're taking the lyrics too literally! It's a song which is primarily about an appreciation of men, so straight women & gay men share a common bond there. ;) Beyond the lyrical content - it's disco, it's camp... and have you ever seen the video? It's little wonder it's regarded as one of the definitive gay anthems!

A gay anthem is typically a song which is popular and/or identifiable with gay men, and 'It's Raining Men' ticks both of those boxes easily.

Note: I don't even like the song. :kink: It is the most perfect/amusing choice of campaign song in response to the bizarre "gay marriage caused floods" comment though.

Surprised at how well Sophie Ellis-Bextor is holding up. Would love top 40 officially

Les Sex coming to change all that *.*

Nice to see the anti-anti-gay campaign doing better than I expected.

09. The Vamps - Wild Heart

10. Beyonce Feat Jay Z - Drunk In Love

I wonder if Beyonce will overtake The Vamps before One Republic enter the top 10 on iTunes. I fully expect 'If I Lose Myself' to be top 10 on iTunes tomorrow.

26. Katy Perry Feat Juicy J - Dark Horse

33. Miley Cyrus - Adore You :(

43. Imagine Dragons - Demons

44. Dappy - No Regrets

91. Imagine Dragons Feat Kendrick Lamar - Radioactive

121. Lana Del Rey - Young And Beautiful

122. Ellie Goulding - Goodness Gracious

204. A Great Big World - Say Something

269. The Saturdays - Disco Love

275. Sam Smith - Money On My Mind

Wow, I can't believe No Regrets is almost back in the top 40. It was one of the best #1s of 2011 for definite! :) Don't Go re-entered the charts recently for some reason as well.

But I don't think any *specific* song of hers has been adopted as a gay anthem?

Unless someone starts an anti-anti-anti-gay campaign? :P

I noticed that there's a new version of Radioactive been released featuring Kendrick Lamar. It's currently at #88.

That was due to The Voice UK. Great #1 from Wretch 32 right there.

Interesting to see the Grammy version of "Radioactive" doing so well. I didn't think much of it, despite being fans of the two respectively. Taking it as a good sign Kendrick Lamar's next solo single can do well.
