Great to see "Anything" by 3T at no.188 off the back of "The Big Reunion" I loved it when I was younger and still do  It bugs me when people say they don't remember them. The second highest-charting "Big Reunion" song is currently Eternals' "I Wanna Be The Only One" at no.759
'Happy' back at #3.

I remember blasting it on the radio when I worked at HMV for a Christmas job back in November - December. Can't believe that three months later it's at #3 on iTunes still and it's already sold over a million.

Insane.

It's incredible if you look at the release strategy in retrospect. The vast majority of artists release their lead single no more than two weeks prior to their album. Pharrell put what was to be his album's lead single onto iTunes in June 2013 and dropped the album nine months later (with no further singles in between), at which point 'Happy' was sitting pretty on its third run at number 1, having sold over a million copies! And then of course the album topped the chart.

just a little extra proof that 5SOS will be #1 next week (as if you needed it x)

Mr Probz doing very well already, HOPING it can beat Calvin Harris to #1 (assuming that'll even be the top 2, Kiesza & DJ Cassidy are bound to still be up there too!)

lies

I wonder if the music video release will help Lady Gaga's "G.U.Y." in the next few weeks.

Possible #1's for the next few weeks:

3/30: Changes - Faul & Wad Ad Vs. PNAU

4/6: The Man - Aloe Blacc

4/13: Nobody To Love - Sigma

4/20: Hideaway - Kiesza

i think the next set of #1s will go like this:

30/3 - 5 Seconds of Summer 'She Looks So Perfect'

6/4 - Aloe Blacc 'The Man'

13/4 - Sigma 'Nobody to Love'

20/4 - Kiesza 'Hideaway'

27/4 - DJ Cassidy ft. Robin Thicke & Jessie J 'Calling All Hearts'

4/5 - Mr Probz 'Waves'

Jubel and Dangerous Love sound like potential future #1s for May imo

I still think Duke Dumont could hold them off, but if it is a close race I guess they could do it.

I really hope so, its going to be a close battle and they will be number one on the chart update so I'm preparing myself for disappointment

Is this going to be another desperate 50-version song?

Unfortunately, yes we will be waking up tomorrow to find most of the Top 100 taken up with the various different versions of this song.

i think there's only 2 single versions of it (plus an EP and (apparently) physicals)

Yes. HMV will be stocking physicals according to their Twitter earlier. I think there was 2 CD physicals one for £1.99, and the other for £2.99 or both for £4.00.

I wonder if the music video release will help Lady Gaga's "G.U.Y." in the next few weeks.

I feel so out of touch. I only know 'The Man' and have only heard that once. I haven't heard of the other songs (or artists).

I don't know any of them and I still haven't heard some recent no.1s so your not that out of touch. Speaking of out of touch, has Anastacia made any further climbs in the top 200?

Nope. Stupid Little Things is at #209.

I know all of those songs, but there's some of the biggest chart hits of this year which I've never heard before:

11 - 10 - 195,750 - Ellie Goulding - How Long Will I Love You - 533,750 - 07/09/13 - 5

15 - 14 - 176,000 - Neon Jungle - Braveheart - 176,000 - 01/02/14 - 4

19 - 18 - 149,250 - Vance Joy - Riptide - 167,000 - 02/11/13 - 10

20 - 17 - 146,250 - Vamps - Wild Heart - 146,250 - 01/02/14 - 3

27 - 25 - 119,500 - OneRepublic - If I Lose Myself - 124,500 - 14/09/13 - 8

I think I have actually heard the Ellie Goulding song before on the chart show, but all I remember was that it's a piano ballad.

There's also a lot of recent chart hits which I've only heard once or twice.

Does anybody know what the highest grime song to chart is? I'm thinking maybe Forward Riddim or Oi! (if that counts as a grime song). I'm probably missing something really obvious .

It's not the highest charting grime song but another one that springs to mind is SLK - Hype Hype, I remember hearing this all the time on Channel U.

Rather Be for #1 :cheer: :D

Performance on the Voice

What was the last hit song to have steel drums?
