The rate 'She Looks So Perfect' is falling at the moment makes me think that Duke Dumont might be able to keep the #1 despite probably being over 20k behind in the first sales update. I had expected 5 Seconds of Summer to have done a bit better than they have done so far and to be falling so quickly just a day into the release isn't too good for their chances of #1.

If Duke Dumont has a combined lead off around 20% tomorrow I think Duke Dumont will manage another week at #01 and it wouldn't surprise me if Duke managed to have a lead of around 10%-15% tonight. They had a 20% lead 8 hours ago which has been shortened to 1.9% lead. Duke should be #01 by 3pm.
Totally agree with the comments about "Take Me To Church" by Hozier - absolutely fantastic song with a great message, and one of my favourites at the moment. It's been a huge hit in Ireland, in the upper end of the Irish chart for months on end, and I would love to see it take off and become a big hit in the UK too - it really deserves to.

Tinashe has just premiered her '2 On' video, currently at #845. Really hoping this can finally start making some proper moves in the charts.
The Hozier song really is superb and I hope becomes a huge hit. 5SOS falling already was to be expected really.
Duke Dumont once again slaying all competition :yahoo: I'm still not sure if he can reclaim the #1 officially, I imagine 5SOS will have a huge lead in the midweeks.

whoa @ Duke overtaking already :o g'won~

5SOS will still keep the official #1 though, since their midweek lead will be MASSIVE

I won't get my hopes up too much, but if 5SOS continue collapse as fast as they have done today things could get interesting towards the end of the week as their lead evaporates...

It's way too soon to celebrate but I'm still hoping for a small miracle as 5SOS were only really number one for roughly 24 hours and they've already begun to decline after one day

Hopefully we'll get the top 2 sales tomorrow which should make it clearer if Duke has a chance of retaining his #1. At the rate 5SOS are now falling I think he has a chance but now would not be surprised to see 5SOS holding on (the parallels to 'Tsunami (Jump)' are fairly convincing).

FAUL are just about to climb to #4 (unless Pharrell gets a boost from somewhere which probably will happen knowing him). Hopeful that 'Changes' will be ahead of 'She Looks So Perfect' by the end of the week and be higher overall next week but I admit its defeat to 5SOS this week :(

I swear Tsunami still held on until around Tuesday/Wednesday though and was still only around 7k ahead in the end? Obvs it depends on the lead that 5SOS have in the mids, but this seems to be falling a lot faster than that was.

I was about to say that. I think Tsunami held on to number 1 until Wednesday morning. And then held strong at number 2 for the latter half of the week.

I've actually really grown to like She Looks So Perfect, hope it wins out over horrifically overhyped dull dance #1 pt 172671626217267622762.

I think that is negated by the fact that 5SOS probably built up a bigger initial lead and had much greater EP sales than DVBBS (as well as a few thousand physicals probably?) Duke Dumont's 2nd week sales are probably also bound to be a bit less than Route 94's since he had a smaller opening week. However, I would also expect 5SOS to drift much further behind than DVBBS did during their first week - too many variables to directly compare :P Like I said it should become clearer if we get midweek sales.

DVBBS' lead was ~5k by the way.

Don't worry. There's no way #Selfie (:puke:) will ever get #1!! :D

Hoping Duke Dumont does manage to hang on but not so sure it'll happen. :( 5SOS would be an okay #1 and it's not even that bad for a generic boyband song but the standard of #1s has been so high this year I don't want it to be ruined.

Also, not that I'm stating that it's wrong to dislike the song or whatever, but I feel like Liam's opinion is solely based on the fact that I Got U uses a Whitney Houston sample rather than the song as a whole, it's hardly dull compared to the likes of My Love, Hideaway etc.
