It was the first single here (originally smashing in the low iTunes top 100, later reaching a peak of #78 when 'Royals' came out). As much as I love it obviously I hope she doesn't re-release it, we need to have 'Glory And Gore' as a single.

(and the video is flawless you heathen)

Idina's definitely seeing a benefit to the DVD release of Frozen anyway. She's had a couple of really good updates. She could well go top 20 again.
Just seen 'Tennis court' by Lorde on MTV. Is this the new single? I hate to say it but it's a great song.

Glory and Gore is the new single as far as I'm aware (in the USA anyway). Tennis Court has already been a single and reached the top 100 in the UK already although she was going to send it to radio so may be in for a re-release!

Tennis court is her best, I would be fully behind a re-release

Another number 1 possibly?

I had a feeling 5 Seconds Of Summer might re-enter the top 10, I suspect the exposure from being #1 and additional airtime it must be getting will help here.

400 Lux or Ribs are my favourites, hope they get single treatment at least somewhere in the world.

Would really be a shame if Katy Perry couldn't keep on to the top 10 for a final week :(

Kaiser Chiefs - Coming Home  54

The album released today and Ricky being a Voice UK coach has certainly kept them relevant ish in 2014. Their best song in a while too. Hope it can climb into the top 40.

This is easily the best song I've heard from them in ages, I pretty much lost all interest in them after Ruby.

'Tennis Court' is Lorde's only listenable song for me (from what I've heard - the three singles) so I would be all for a re-release of that one

Watching Brave's painfully slow progress upwards, I feel like the boy constantly watching the chart show on TV in Stardust's video for Music Sounds Better With You

It was the same with Love Song, I nearly had a heart attack when it only climbed 16-15 one week! Thank god it got another proper upwards wind after that and into the top five!

Not sure if Glory and Gore is a good single choice, it's not one of her best. But then some of the best songs on the album wouldn't really work as singles anyway - 400 Lux, Ribs and Buzzcut Season. All great tracks but wouldn't work on radio etc.

I know alot of people in the music industry are stupid and reactionary. it was the same when downloads came in too they didnt react until sales went very low.

Hideaway has been no1 on the shazam chart for ages too which is a good indicator. So many people i know try to do the right thing by buying a download but its hard to defend when a song isnt available for 6 weeks after radio first premieres them and its even worse with worldwide releases held back here. Just look at Summer by Calvin Harris last week - it was powering up the chart until it was removed now its fallen to no 120 on pre orders. Its clear pre orders gain a few buyers but most will just look elsewhere for the song when its not there.

How does the shazam chart work?

i think it could have a very good chance (it definitely sounds like a big hit at least), even despite being against Sam Smith's new single that week!

I think Glory and Gore got chosen because it was used in an advert in the US and went high on iTunes. If it wasn't for that I think they would have re-released Tennis Court (and in response to someone earlier, I don't think it would need a new video, since Same Love did fine last year with its original video).

I think if you hear a song you don't know you can use Shazam to identify it, so the chart is probably a list of songs that were identified the most during the week.

I would love Fuse ODG to get a #1, but I don't expect it from this song, since it isn't as catchy as Antenna. I wish some other afrobeats artists could have charted like P Square or Atumpan.
