April 13, 201412 yr But Beauty and the Beast did. And that is a better parallel as Beauty and the Beast and Frozen are both seen as marking a turning point in Disney's fortunes. Besides, "Can You Feel The Love Tonight?" is certainly the most remembered Lion King song, outside of "Hakunamatata".
April 13, 201412 yr YES for Iggy getting a Top 5  Edited April 13, 201412 yr by David Cavalcanti
April 13, 201412 yr 05 00 01 Iggy Azalea Featuring Charli XCX Fancy The New Classic | 2014 http://a2.mzstatic.com/us/r30/Features6/v4/30/17/8b/30178be8-fafe-518b-b321-d11300591d35/dj.kjhnbgrk.170x170-75.jpg Chart Run: 5 Release date: 06-04-2014 Format: digital single Label: Virgin EMI Records Video here: O-zpOMYRi0w Biography In one of the more unlikely crossover success stories, blonde Australian beauty Iggy Azalea (born Amethyst Amelia Kelly) segued from a high-profile modeling career to become a southern hip-hop star. Influenced in her childhood by Missy Elliott, TLC, and Tupac Shaqur, she moved to the states in 2006 at age 16, stating that she was drawn to the birthplace of rap. Moving from Miami to Houston to Atlanta, she absorbed the Southern-style drawl of her surroundings and released a trap-inspired mixtape titled Ignorant Art in 2011, shortly after relocating to Los Angeles. A video for her song "Pu$$y" was uploaded to the internet and became a YouTube favorite due to its explicit nature. Around this time, Azalea's blossoming relationship with rising rapper A$AP Rocky earned her some headlines (she tattooed the title of his debut album on her knuckles), but her recording career stalled when plans to work with T.I. fell through due to label conflicts. In spring of 2012, she signed to Wilhelmina Models International and pursued modeling full-time, landing a job as the "New Face of Levi's Jeans." Later that year, her musical stock skyrocketed when XXL Magazine put her on the cover of their annual Top 10 Freshman issue, alongside Danny Brown, Roscoe Dash, and French Montana. As the first female, non-American rapper to make the list, serious hip-hop fans took notice, including Diplo, who hooked up with Azalea for her follow-up mixtape, TrapGold, before she signed to Mercury Records for her official 2013 debut The New Classic. - iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): Iggy Azalea 2012 44 Beat Down (Steve Aoki And Angger Dimas Feat. April 13, 201412 yr Maralyn Monroe is going to flop isn't it? It better not do, it's utterly incredible!
April 13, 201412 yr YES, so happy Iggy has got a top 5. Absolutely love this now, my 2nd fav of hers, behind Work (which will take a LOT to be beaten).
April 13, 201412 yr Hated this at first, but it has really grown on me. Such a tune. Glad to see her get her first proper hit, hope it has a bit of longevity now! Cannot wait for her album either!
April 13, 201412 yr Yay for Iggy going top 5! Shame it'll probably fall out the top 10 next week though Work should've been her top 5 single
April 13, 201412 yr Annoyed Iggy's worst song has out-performed her other singles so much. #justiceforwork
April 13, 201412 yr I initially didn't really warm to Fancy, but I've grown to LOVE it since then! Such a jam
April 13, 201412 yr Lorde back up to 18 on the albums chart, woop price reductions for the win London Grammar back in the top 10 again as well  Good week for my faves ~ It's good to see Iggy Azalea getting a top 5 hit and this *would* be her best since 'Work', but it's ruined by that absolutely terrible chorus :( What even is that accent that Charli is singing in?
April 13, 201412 yr But Beauty and the Beast did. And that is a better parallel as Beauty and the Beast and Frozen are both seen as marking a turning point in Disney's fortunes. If we're talking officially, I think it was The Little Mermaid that started the 'Disney Renaissance' wasn't it? (Though I know Beauty & The Beast was the best received and all) Besides, "Can You Feel The Love Tonight?" is certainly the most remembered Lion King song, outside of "Hakunamatata". Really? I mean all the songs are, but I'd say it's equal between the three of them, Circle of Life did open the film after all ~
April 13, 201412 yr Great album new entries for Todd Terje & SOHN! :cheer: How enough did this Iggy Azalea song make the top 5?
