That Oliver Heldens Gecko track should be one of the biggest dance No1s of the summer - it just sounds like a smash - should get playlisted this Wednesday I think out in June 22nd!

I agree. I said months ago that Gecko would probably be a chart hit, it made quite an impression on me the first time I heard it.

If Timber can somehow manage to get to #1, anything can.

Did you miss Waves hitting #1 then? :o

The vocal version is so much better than Gecko imo!

Who wrote that I wonder?

:hi:

I would love Gecko to go to #1, even if it needs a vocal remix to do so. Amazing song

I'm well aware of the concept of subjectivity etc. but I really can't get my head around how anyone could hate 'Waves'. Fair enough if people are indifferent/not too keen on the vocals or whatever but the track is so calming and pleasant sounding.....I don't get it . (This is just a musing by the way, not an attack on your opinion :P)

Irish country artist Nathan Carter #147 on the iTunes did not see that coming. I wonder if this is the next stage of country music becoming mainstream in the UK?

And now, a public service announcement from Brett-Butler -

On behalf of everyone from Ireland, I would like to apologize to Britain in advance for Nathan Carter (even though he's from Liverpool, but he's very popular here, especially in Fermanagh)

Hate Nathan Carter the music version of parochial Irish society :(!! Didn't realise he was from Liverpool?!

I agree. I also don't understand how someone could call it their favourite song of the year though. It's just a very nice song.
Waves is so bland to me, absolutely nothing to it. Worst song of the year for me, it's offensively bland, just my opinion :P

To be fair, Timber is one of the biggest songs of the year. A lot of songs do well, but you won't hear many of the general public (who you don't find on forums etc) actually being that aware of them. But, Timber is a huge hit, everyone goes wild for it when I've been on nights out, so of most #1s, it is quite deserving.

Her last good song :snif:

227. Fred V & Grafix - Forest Fires (feat. Etherwood)

 178. Forest Fires (feat. Etherwood) - Fred V & Grafix

currently #240 (but i did see it in the top 200 at one point last week! ;o)

Oh right! Thank you. I guess it's been going for a while then and not likely to get much higher then :(

Ooft...

136. Raleigh Ritchie - Stronger Than Ever

YASSS <3

'Gecko' would be an amazing No1, even with the superfluous vocals!

The Robin Schultz remix of 'Waves' is immense , defintely a strong contender for song of the year! ^_^

The only really 'sh!t' No1 so far this year is that banal 5SOS drivel. :manson:

Fred V & Grafix :cheer:
