May 18, 201412 yr 11 08 09 Tove Lo Featuring Hippie Sabotage Stay High Truth Serum EP | 2014 http://a3.mzstatic.com/us/r30/Music6/v4/c2/75/37/c275372c-a0dd-9e1e-44c9-17be8bee8ee5/14UMGIM00422.170x170-75.jpg Chart Run: 59-xx-47-33-12-6-9-7-8-11 Release date: 03-03-2014 Format: Digital EP Label: Universal Music AB Sales: 100k+ Video here: SYM-RJwSGQ8 Biography Swedish singer/songwriter Tove Lo was born Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson on October 29, 1987 in a suburb of Stockholm. Beginning to write poetry and short stories at a young age, she went on to study at the famous Rytmus Musikergymnasiet — a music-oriented high school comparable to the U.K.'s BRIT School — where she met and befriended the future members of Icona Pop. After singing in the band Tremblebee, made up of students from the school, and a spell playing one-man-and-his-dog nightclub gigs as frontwoman of a math rock band, she decided to focus on her own songs, spending six months in her shed studio working on a demo. Upon the occasion of a party celebrating Icona Pop's first record deal, she used the opportunity to foist the demo on a staff member at their label, leading to a publishing deal with Warner Chappell and a trip to L.A. to work with fellow Swede and pop songwriting/production supremo Max Martin. Lo gradually developed her own idiosyncratic style of epic, electronically tinged songwriting with raw, brutally honest lyrics, influenced as much by '80s pop as by contemporary EDM. In 2012 she self-released her debut single, "Love Ballad," a catchy, beat-driven pop track that showcased her powerful voice. It was followed in 2013 by "Habits," a dark breakup anthem that generated such Internet buzz that it led to a deal with Universal. "Habits" and its follow-up, "Out of Mind," which was much in the same vein, appeared on her debut EP for the label, Truth Serum, in 2014. - iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): Tove Lo 2014 06 Stay High (Tove Lo Feat. May 18, 201412 yr I love Stay High so much, the remix is just so euphoric when the chorus kicks in! I got my brother into it as well.
May 18, 201412 yr Yay for Common Linnets, but slight disappointment that this couldn't get to have 5 weeks in the top 10 at all the positions from #6-#10. :P
May 18, 201412 yr I'm happy that The Common Linnets are in the Top 10!!! Would have been better if a Top 5, but still marvelous result nonetheless. Easily my favourite song of this year's Eurovision alongside Basim and Sebalter.
May 18, 201412 yr I have said it before but I really would not mind if it was someone else singing the song. Demi Lovatos version is easily the better version. Poor brave Demi :(. I think that Demi has the same total weeks inside the Top 100..This is great for her because she never made the Top 40.
