Poor Example; finally a song of his that (somewhat) sticks around on iTunes, only for streaming to ruin it.

At least there is hope for it to stabilise in the next few weeks as his streaming catches up with songs that have been available to stream for longer (streaming seems to take a few weeks to peak for some reason).

Even with this big drop, he's still doing much better with this than his last 2 singles so not too gutted.

Biography

Australian rock band 5 Seconds to Summer make ebullient, high-energy music that straddles the line between '90s punk-pop and 1000s boy-band pop. Formed in 2011, the band features fellow Norwest Christian College grads Luke Hemmings (lead vocals/guitar), Michael Clifford (guitar/vocals), Calum Hood (bass/vocals), and Ashton Irwin (drums/vocals). The band uploaded several videos to Youtube and quickly caught the attention of Sony, who signed the band to a publishing deal. In 2012, 5 Seconds to Summer released two EPs including Unplugged and Somewhere New. The following year, the band received a further boost after they were asked to open for Britain's One Direction on tour. That same year they signed a record deal with Capitol, and in 2014, 5 Seconds to Summer released their third EP, She Looks So Perfect. - iTunes

Please Don't Stop 5 Seconds of Summer! :yahoo: :w00t:
Goad that one more day is on its way out. Dreadful song.
International chart highlight for those of you who don't check the Int Charts forum: 'Don't Stop' dropping 1-22 in New Zealand. :heehee:

bit of an unconvenient week for streaming to be added re: Example, but I expect it's still held up considerably better on the sales-only chart. (album boost for him next week pls)

'Don't Stop' is such a tune  Shame it didn't get to #1 over the overrated 'Ghost' but I guess it would've had an even larger 2nd week fall.

Surprisingly, not the biggest drop from number 1 there!!!! :D :D

Obvious reason would be that people keep on streaming songs for more than a week after they first 'discover' them, and can only truly peak once the number of people getting sick of them/forgetting them outnumbers the new people discovering them.

Biography

Tijs Michiel Verwest, born 17 January 1969), known as Tiësto (/tiˈɛstoʊ/ tee-ES-toh; Dutch pronunciation: [ˈcɛstoː]), is a Dutch musician, DJ and record producer of electronic dance music. Although he has used many aliases in the past, he is best known for his work as DJ Tiësto. On his latest productions, however, he has dropped the "DJ" label and is now known simply as "Tiësto", an artist name which is a twist of his childhood nickname. In 1997, he founded the label Black Hole Recordings with Arny Bink, where he released the Magik and In Search of Sunrise CD series. Tiësto met producer Dennis Waakop Reijers in 1998, and the two have worked together extensively since then. Reijers is credited as producer, writer, composer, or arranger on many of Tiësto's releases. In 1999 and 2000 Tiësto collaborated with Ferry Corsten to create Gouryella. His 2000 remix of Delerium's "Silence" featuring Sarah McLachlan exposed him to more mainstream audiences. In 2001, he released his first solo album In My Memory which gave him several major hits that launched his career. He ranked at #1 on DJ Magazine's annual Top 100 DJs Poll consecutively for three years from 2002 to 2004.

Just after releasing his second studio album Just Be in 2004 at the Summer Olympics, he performed live at the opening ceremony in Athens, Greece, becoming the first DJ to play live on stage at an Olympics. Tracks he made especially for the Olympics were mixed together and released as the mix compilation Parade of the Athletes later that year. In April 2007 Tiësto launched both his radio show Tiësto's Club Life on Radio 538 in the Netherlands and released his third studio album Elements of Life. The album reached number one on the Dutch album chart as well on "Billboard Top Electronic Albums" in the U.S. and received a nomination for a Grammy Award in 2008. Tiësto released his fourth studio album Kaleidoscope in October 2009. - Wikipedia
