I remember hearing Rock DJ for the first time. Immediately I knew it would be a huge no.1 and I also said 'I bet it's the first track on Now 47' as well. Now 46 was constantly on repeat in my CD player at that time.

The Top 15 kicks off with an awesome rock anthem from Bon Jovi. 'It's My Life' was a Top 3 hit in May 2000 and the first single from their seventh studio album 'Crush'.

 

Britney's 'Lucky' is next up at #14, the follow up to the Number 1 hit 'Oops...I Did It Again' went Top 5 in August 2000. It was a track that told the story about a girl named Lucky who, despite seemingly having it all – fame, wealth, beauty – is truly lonely and unhappy on the inside.

 

Next up is a track which is far too low from Coldplay. From their debut album 'Parachutes', 'Trouble' was their second Top 10 hit.

 

Modjo's disco inspired dance anthem 'Lady (Hear Me Tonight) is next up. It spent 2 weeks at Number 1 in September 2000.

 

At #11 it's a great dance anthem from Delirium. Featuring the lovely vocals of Sarah McLachlan the Airscape remix took 'Silence' to Number 3 in the UK chart and also included a remix from Tiesto, which was just as popular as the Airscape remix.

 

Sadly Silence had the same average score as the track at Number 10, but due to having less 10's than the track at Number 10, it just misses out by a whisker. :(

10. Robbie Williams & Kylie Minogue - Kids (7.690476)

Robbie & Kylie are very lucky to get Top 10 here as it had the same score as Delirium, but 'Kids' had more 10's. It featured on both Robbie's Sing When Your Winning' album and Kylie's 'Light Years' album. It reached Number 2 in the Top 40. We've still got a Kylie track to come by the way!

 

 

9. David Gray - Babylon (7.78)

Nice surprise to see David Gray in the Top 10 on a Buzzjack countdown, but here we are with the classic 'Babylon', this is the track that kick-started his career and it came from his mega selling album 'White Ladder'.

8. Zombie Nation - KernKraft 400 (7.789)

German Electronic artist Zombie Nation had a Number 2 hit with KernKraft 400. It got to Number 2 in the chart being beaten to Number 1 by Westlife and Mariah Carey's Against 'All Odds'.

 

 

7. Vanessa Amorosi - Absolutely Everybody (7.94)

One hit wonder Vanessa Amorosi had a massive pop hit with 'Absolutely Everybody'. Coming out of Australia, this was a great feel good track and reached Number 7 in the charts.

 

6. Anastacia - I'm Outta Love (8.09)

Somebody's in T Boy's bad books now. :P Hailing from America, This was the debut single from a lady with such a powerful voice. 'I'm Outta Love' was a massive radio hit and taken from her album 'Not That Kind'.

 

 

 

5. Sonique - Sky (8.2)

This was the follow up single to 'Feel So Good' by Super Diva DJ Sonique. reaching Number 2 in the charts in September 2000, and taken from her album 'Hear My Cry'.

Should have been no.1. Although cd1 track 17 is never shall the highlight of a Now album so people must have just overlooked it.

Good to see Vanessa doing so well, not exactly a well remembered song sadly!

I feel like all the good songs have been already...

4. LeAnne Rimes - Can't Fight The Moonlight (8.28)

Used as the soundtrack to the film 'Coyote Ugly', this was a big Number 1 hit for LeAnne Rimes in November 2000. She was only 18 at the time and had been having hits since 1998.

 

 

 

3. Melanie C - I Turn To You (8.59)

2000 was a great year for Melanie C. Not only did she have a Number 1 hit with the Spice Girls, she also scored 2 solo Number 1's with the help of the late Lisa Left Eye Lopez for 'Never Be The Same Again' and I Turn To You'. This was the fourth single from Mel C's debut solo album 'Northern Star'.

 

Absolutely Everybody :wub: Tune, glad she had at least one hit even though it wasn't remembered or huge or anything.

2. Kylie Minogue - On A Night Like This (8.80)

Following the Number 1 success with 'Spinning Around', kylie bounced back in the charts with the awesome 'On A Night Like This'. Peaking at Number 2 in the charts and acting as the second single from 'Light Years' and is her second appearance on Now 47.

 

 

1. All Saints - Pure Shores (9.14)

At the time we thought this had been snubbed by Now as it should of been on Now 45, but eventually makes it on to Now 47. It was taken from the soundtrack to the film 'The Beach' and produced by William Orbit. 'Pure Shores' wins the Now 47 rate hands down this week with an average score of 9.14.

Great top 10, so glad Vanessa did so well and Leann Rimes such a fantastic artist, and also glad Kylie's 2 songs from Light Years are so high and great #1 for All Saints

But of a naff top 3 IMO.

I like all of that top 4 it's just kinda predictable, Pure Shores is pretty divine though.

I've always found Pure Shores somewhat lacking. Can clearly see the appeal but just never quite clicked with me.

 

Kernkraft 400 & Sky top 10 is wonderful to see though!
