When I checked this morning 'Glow' was at about #1200 so it won't be too far outside the top 1500, I hope as soon as BBC Radio 1 and Capital start playing it then it will do absolutely fine. I guess we shouldn't underestimate the power of the X Factor either as 'Glow' will suit being a soundbed during successful X Factor auditions perfectly!

it's back 1327 now :D

Apparently I read in the Mirror that Cliff Richard is only a few hundred sales from the top 40 though I can't see him benefitting from the weekend effect, I expect this will crash over the next few days

Not concerned yet, Glow has only been out for 9 days with no appearances from Ella to support it (shes in Aus/NZ) and no promo.

It has 3 week left until release and Ella is back on monday to push it.

59 Paolo Nutini - Iron Sky

SINCE WHEN?! It's one of the BEST songs of the year BY FAR! New single or something!?! I've been waiting for this for ages...

I thought it was strange for Ella to release Glow so quickly after and during the success of Ghost(which is still top 10) sometimes it's good to make a success as one song is massive but a lot of the time the first hit overshadows the next single unless it's something special - thought they would have been better waiting until late October to release it with and XF slot and then the album in November with a third single over Xmas!

I think they're playing this well for Ella. She's got really good momentum, with a monster hit sitting pretty in the top 10, but in 3 weeks time it'll have dropped a little, so the attention will shift to Glow, which will hit big I think. Releasing it this early leaves it open for them to release another single during the X Factor live shows and give her a big performance slot. Pretty much guarantees a third smash from what will no doubt be a big album.

Glow is definitely a grower. Wasn't hugely impressed on first listen but my god, when it's up loud, it's fantastic. Could do with some huge adlibs on the end chorus but it's still a brilliant follow up single. She's going to be massive.

 12. Budapest - George Ezra

Longevity  So glad, it's an amazing record :D

It's an amazing record alright but it's "Blame It On Me" 's time to shine now :(

I think the time has come to celebrate shake it off being at number 1 in UTunes as it will be gone soon as Guetta is now on 97%

I LOVE SHAKE IT OFF :cheer:  :cheer:  :cheer:  :cheer:  :cheer:

I am so happy Taylor finally got an ITunes number 1 :)

pre-order update

23. Prayer In C - Robin Schulz & Lillywood

100. Changing (feat. Paloma Faith) - Sigma

124. Bang Bang - Jessie J, Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj

148. Blame (feat. John Newman) - Calvin Harris

200. All About That Bass - Meghan Trainor

649. Lullaby (feat. Tori Kelly) - Professor Green

From the pre-orders it looks like these songs could be possible near future UK #1's.

Just noticed that 'Come With Me Now' by KONGOS has a pre-order! Yay, fantastic song - hopefully it can go top 40 upon release week!

Barely top 1500 with 3 weeks left until release is definitely a situation to worry about. This is screaming disaster right now.

Could 'Glow' be Ella's equivalent to 'Funky Dory' by Rachel Stevens, chart wise? :o Huge debut and then quite a floppy follow up. I don't want this sort of scenario happening for Ella, but things aren't looking too promising at the moment.

10 days in...Rather over dramatic at this point! If it isn't play listed next week by anyone then the alarm bells can ring.

of course the album coming out 1 week after Glow isn't going to help preorders a lot either.

I don't think it really matters how many days it's been on for pre-order. It's more of a concern that there are only 3 weeks till release and this hasn't gone anywhere. The mistake was that they've released the pre-order way too late Imo.
