September 14, 201412 yr At least the Script haven't been spared from a good fall :) Hopefully 5SOS will be next and I can listen to the rest of the chart!
September 14, 201412 yr Where are people seeing the albums? I'm refreshing the page on the R1 website and it hasn't updated for me.
September 14, 201412 yr R1 still haven't updated the album chart (shock) so the second album chart post probably won't be until 7pm (or a little after that as it may take a while to input all the positions ) This article lists the positions for the new entries but these commentaries aren't always entirely accurate.

Amnesia 2. Daylight 3. American Idiot 4. Amnesia (Live At Wembley) Biography Australian rock band 5 Seconds to Summer make ebullient, high-energy music that straddles the line between '90s punk-pop and 1000s boy-band pop. Formed in 2011, the band features fellow Norwest Christian College grads Luke Hemmings (lead vocals/guitar), Michael Clifford (guitar/vocals), Calum Hood (bass/vocals), and Ashton Irwin (drums/vocals). The band uploaded several videos to Youtube and quickly caught the attention of Sony, who signed the band to a publishing deal. In 2012, 5 Seconds to Summer released two EPs including Unplugged and Somewhere New. The following year, the band received a further boost after they were asked to open for Britain's One Direction on tour. That same year they signed a record deal with Capitol, and in 2014, 5 Seconds to Summer released their third EP, She Looks So Perfect. - iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): 2014 01 She Looks So Perfect -1- 2014 19 Good Girls -IG1- 2014 02 Don't Stop -2- 2014 07 Amnesia -IG2/3- Album Discussion Here
September 14, 201412 yr God knows how they managed this, but fair play to them. I realised the other day what this reminds me of, 'Hey There Delilah'.
September 14, 201412 yr Wow I'm so glad that 5SOS have another top 10 to their name! Completely forgot about the Strictly performance so it was a surprise to see that they were looking at a top 10 position today! Where were they in the mids?
September 14, 201412 yr Good thing The Script didn't hit #1 either. Finding 5 Seconds of Summer and their singles very tolerable actually, though this is sure to drop 7-20-something next week without actual sales to keep it up.
September 14, 201412 yr And recalling the irrelevant factoid from earlier on, we haven't had a 38-7 move for over 30 years, the classic that is "Down Under" by Men At Work from January 1983!
September 14, 201412 yr God knows how they managed this, but fair play to them. Physicals and EPs. They're a boyband. Really starting to like 'Amnesia'. Pleased to see it comfortably inside the top 10. 'Superheroes' is also starting to grow on me but I still think it's an extremely uninspired song.
September 14, 201412 yr Expecting a big fall for this next week as its no longer top 40 on itunes...never thought it would go top 10 though
September 14, 201412 yr This is abit of a generic boyband ballad really! Nothing special imo! Edited September 14, 201412 yr by gavindeejay
September 14, 201412 yr Ten Walls beating a big-name boyband on their impact date :o can't believe Walking With Elephants has managed a #6 placing (presumably), what an achievement  <333
September 14, 201412 yr Good thing The Script didn't hit #1 either. Finding 5 Seconds of Summer and their singles very tolerable actually, though this is sure to drop 7-20-something next week without actual sales to keep it up. I think it might do worse than that, like a Lawson style 7-28 drop
September 14, 201412 yr I wonder where 5SOS will drop to next week? Yay for Ten Walls, not done too badly.
