If take that do get to #1 will they be the 1st group to have been #1 as a 5,4 & 3 piece?
Where is Ella "Yours" at on the chart right now? Anyone know?

I'm not expecting much from her this week

Blank Space at #1 on iTunes (at least briefly) could mean a shot in the top 5 but shed have more chance with streams

I really hope Take That is going to be streamed enough this week. Even with Baid leading all week from Weds the copy difference can certainly suggest two different number ones next week. What an exiting time that would be! :D

I know we all think this - I know I do, but for all we know Taylor's iTunes sales are higher than they would be if 'Blank Space' was available to stream (as people buy the song to import into their Spotify library) so maybe it's not as "stupid" as we all think the decision is. I guess the only way we'd be able to find out is if 'Blank Space' was put on Spotify and it started to receive red Kworb updates, but that's not going to happen for us to find out unfortunately!

It's not a stupid decision at all, of course it means her songs are slightly lower charting but I guarantee all of you care about that a hell of a lot more than she does (especially when we're talking about UK chart positions here). Her reasons for taking her music off streaming services are perfectly valid.
Exactly, she's not going to bat an eyelid over her songs not perhaps doing as well in the UK charts when she's absolutely owning the Hot 100 right now.

It will most likely make an impact on next weeks top 40, following her X Factor performance this Sunday

I agree with her reasons completely don't get me wrong, and the unbelievable success she's having shows streaming matters very little in the entire scheme of things!
"What you did by going out and investing in music and albums is you are saying that you believe in the same thing that I believe in: that music is valuable and music should be consumed in albums and albums should be consumed as art and appreciated" - Taylor at the American Music Awards according to this article

Very cringeworthy.

Very cringeworthy.

Indeed. Badly worded too!

I'm assuming what she's trying to say is if you spend money on an album, it shows you really appreciate the music. Fair enough if that's what she truly believes but to me it sounds a bit silly. Plus it could just be deemed as a way for her to be talked about and for her album to be promoted - I mean it's a bit odd how all her music was removed the same week her album was released!

Could she point to the UK on a map of the world?

To be fair that's just a quote which was the first thing that came up when I just Googled it, this article on Digital Spy explains it much better in my view and is what I had in my head when I was saying that I agree with her reasoning!
I am not standing for this criticism of Queen TayTay. She can't hear y'all from her three platinum first week albums BYE

I think streaming and having your music on the services is very important for most artists, because if they don't, people who were consideringly listening to/buying their music, might quickly give up and go listen to someone else. But for an artist like Taylor Swift, she's already hugely popular so doesn't need this kind of full blanket exposure, and of course combined with the publicity of her Spotify decision, it's probably helping her sales a lot...I bought "1989" but probably wouldn't have if it were on Spotify

Fair enough! :P And yeah, it does make more sense in that article and I can understand her view a bit more. That said, I still don't agree. People could just rip the music off YouTube or download it illegally - something that Spotify is trying to combat.

You can go to a gallery and enjoy the art, even rave about it to others, but it doesn't mean you have to buy it.

I am a buyer not streamer btw, but I think Taylor Swifts argument is flawed. For her (or her record company), its all about the monay, monay, monay,,,
