Now 'Can't Hold Us' would have been a great choice for Fleur's winning single - I admittedly have not heard this OneRepublic song but I really can't imagine one of their songs being a good match for Fleur  Don't get why she has the same song as Ben anyway!

The X Factor winners singles have been announced!

Fleur & Ben have recorded

OneRepublic's 'Something I Need'

- don't think anyone saw that coming :o just listened to the song as I hadn't heard it before, it's certainly a little different to the usual winners single but it's still not the most exciting song ever. Can't see it selling that well, even if Fleur wins.

Yes... love the winners song choice Fleur will put her own spin on that surely, and

Uptown Funk

is getting another play :w00t:

Why do you hide the title of the winner's song? :o

some people don't want to know what they're singing in advance~

Can't Hold Us wouldn't work as a winners song, I don't think we've ever had an uptempo as the winners single. I'm sure Fleur would do Something I Need just fine, she can sing a ballad. Hallelujah and Cannonball didn't completely suit the acts who sang them but they still did well

Why not? What's the big deal?

Someone likes surprises, but I can also ask you back "what's the big deal if it's hidden?"

Is the winners song available on pre-order yet? I remember a few years ago that the winners song was up for pre-order prior to the final even though it didn't have a proper song title yet.

Just because there hasn't been an uptempo song as the winner's single before doesn't mean they can't do one now, it'd certainly be a lot more interesting than the usual dull ballads. Fleur would surely sell more of 'Can't Hold Us' than 'Something I Need' as it's a far more relevant song to her fanbase.

Although really it would be better still if they could just get an original song but that's never going to happen (again)...

'Up' 16.

Can see this getting close to the top 10 by the end of today. Makes me very interested in it's boost from getting performed on the XF Final tommorow (if they are on tommorow that is). Could scrape top 40 Sunday too.

Olly/Demi are on Sunday so maybe not much of a huge boost to help it scrape top 40 Sunday then.

Might even get a boost tonight, if Demi Lovato makes an appearance on his TV show, it just makes sense if she is performing on Sunday.

Apparently 'Up' isn't one of the songs performed on his TV show. :(

I assume it's because they're both in the same category (Overs) and their mentor Simon wants a level playing field between them, or at least to give that impression. It does seem like this choice is better suited to Ben than Fleur though!

pre-order update

60. Wish You Were Mine - Philip George

147. Go All Night (feat. Jennifer Hudson) - Gorgon City

207. Now's the Time (feat. Miss Baby Sol) - NMP3

284. Heroes (we could be) [feat. Tove Lo] - Alesso

404. Lips Are Movin - Meghan Trainor

418. Promesses (feat. Kaleem Taylor) [Radio Edit] - Tchami

541. Rhymes - Hannah Wants & Chris Lorenzo

590. Flutes (feat. Lethal Bizzle) - New World Sound & Thomas Newson

789. L.A.LOVE (la la) - Fergie

943. You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile (2014 Film Version) - Sia

979. Cool Kids (Radio Edit) - Echosmith

1189. Tuesday (feat. Drake) - I LOVE MAKONNEN

1244. The Heart Wants What It Wants - Selena Gomez

I think it's suited to both. It's good-ish for Ben but the choral aspect really suits Fleur too (see Will You Be There?). It's not the most vocally challenging song either which is good for both as they have their vocal limitations in different ways, as much as I adore Fleur.

Well, this certainly IS a big surprise to me that an X Factor performance might be treated as a suspense.

I heard a rumour that Fleur East's winners single would be a rap version cover of "Turn Down For What" by DJ Snake but I guess that's not the case.

There are already loads of rap remixes of Turn Down For What. But one as the winner's single for x factor would have been the best thing to happen to mainstream music in decades. Oh well. :(

15 Olly Murs - Up (feat. Demi Lovato)

ALREADY? that was fast... top 5 at least after the X factor.

I thought Olly would have more songs off his album tbh, that Earth Wind & Fire medley was pointless. There should be minimal boosts for his new songs apart from Wrapped Up & Never Been Better
