December 7, 201411 yr If 'Thinking Out Loud' does return to number 1 it will create chart history for the second time. Having already broken the record for the slowest climb to the top in one chart run it would also break the record for the most weeks a record has spent on the chart in one consecutive chart run before returning to the top. The current record is 21 weeks, achieved by 'I Believe' by Frankie Laine in 1953 when it returned to number 1 (for the third time) on its 21st week on the chart. This week will be the 24th chart week for 'Thinking Out Loud'.
