Sam & The Womp?

Or both PSY tracks 'Gangnam Style' (2012) and 'Gentleman' (2013).

Edited by gavindeejay

I know the proceeds of this went to charity and etc, but this is such a monstrosity. As I described in a thread this week, this is essentially an attempt to emulate a current dance track (like the Waze + Odyssey thing) by someone who can't produce music properly, and an old man with a lisp chanting all over it.

I wish lame campaigns like this wouldn't actually get off the ground.

Tracks like this have always been involved in the Xmas chart race and always will be esp with downloads nowadays

I know, I'm acutely aware. I just wish it wasn't (or even if it was something good/actually funny if it has to be)

(I know that's subjective though)

*sigh* If only 'Uptown Funk' was the Xmas No1! :(

Both better shouts actually.

Would PJ & Duncan count as novelty?

'Something I Need' sounded suitably dull from the clip at the start of the show. Hooray for another crap and soon to be forgotten Xmas #1, if only 'Uptown Funk' could have done it.

Discussion Thread Here

I know, I'm acutely aware. I just wish it wasn't (or even if it was something good/actually funny if it has to be)

(I know that's subjective though)

I don't mind it at Xmas - you'll see this in next years retro and go omg remember that

Would have been so hilarious if he was actually announced at number 2 (with him there and everything).

Don't like either song left but slightly prefer Ben's. If only OneRepublic had chart success with it...

Or both PSY tracks 'Gangnam Style' (2012) and 'Gentleman' (2013).

Ah, those are right I think, I tend to forget the former was novelty given how huge it was for some reason.

Would PJ & Duncan count as novelty?

I wouldn't say it was a novelty song, though its second chart run might count as a novelty purchase.

What about 'Dominick The Donkey' though?

I wish I'd have actually placed a bet on this, I was on the verge of doing it!

As I hadn't, I wish even more that 'Uptown Funk' had been #1 just for the ultimate trolling of Ben Haenow there.

Boooooooooooooooo!!!

So laboriously predictable :puke:
