Echosmith will obviously be a top 40 hit then, I thought it would be a bit of a slow burner tbh :kink:
I'm so thrilled. I had the same feeling as you but don't have a previous post to quote (Rob S can back me up if need be :magic:)

My hope was for Cool Kids to have a trajectory similar to Sail around this time last year. That looks too ambitious now but seeing it near the top 30 is fantastic!

75. Jessie J - Sweet Talker [Ouch at how much Jessie has undeperformed with both 'Sweet Talker' and 'Burnin Up' struggling to make the top 100]

'Burnin' Up' wasn't properly pushed in the end, and wasn't 'Sweet Talker's official impact date last week? Why is it climbing up now?

I still fail to understand why they went with it too, they have two other songs that have an official video and this doesn't. It just doesn't seem logical.

 78. Sia Elastic Heart (feat. The Weeknd & Diplo)

Next single & video effect! <3

Brilliant, will hopefully be a hit for her

225 Indiana Solo Dancing - This is about ready to re-peak officially then!?

(To be fair this is higher than I would have expected from a few days on the Radio 1 C list)

23 Ella Henderson Yours - This has held on rather well then. Despite no top ten peak, it's looking to be a decent overall seller. Should go silver soon?

30 Beyoncé 7/11 Download

31 Echosmith Cool Kids

72 Taylor Swift Style

It was around #180 yesterday, but it has no chance to climb back into the top 20 so it's nowhere near ready to re-peak. It'll probably go back top 100 but no better than that.

Radio 1 playlisting for this won't be "affecting" until Monday.

Wasn't it 100-something earlier though? :(

Yes it will. It's B-list next week. C-list this week. Monday's playlist was for this actual week because of Christmas delays.

You are correct. Bloody hell, that week went fast! LMAO :\ (Or was the last playlist posted later than Wednesday? - hence the confusion haha, sorry.)

Nah we only got it on Monday, it just went into immediate affect. We then got next week's playlist 2 days later.

12 James Bay Scars  :o

Gorgon City - Go All Night (feat. Jennifer Hudson) to #24.

Wow! It's still rising well and looks set to go back into the top 20 on iTunes! It's climbing in airplay and TV play which is resulting in this re-climbing I believe - as well as the gift card effect wearing off. (It's up to #17 in the rolling airplay chart and #24 in the rolling TV chart. It was #24 in Airplay and #28 in TV play last week).

a little pre-order update~

49. Ellie Goulding - Love Me Like You Do

105. Meghan Trainor - Lips Are Movin

145. Fergie - L.A.Love (la la)

217. Chris Brown & Tyga - Ayo

308. Hannah Wants & Chris Lorenzo - Rhymes

427. Rae Morris - Under the Shadows

462. LuvBug - Revive (Say Something)

463. Years & Years - King

649. AronChupa - I'm an Albatraoz (fake versions @ 407 and 1063)

799. Karen Harding - Say Something

932. Marlon Roudette - When the Beat Drops Out

1133. Bakermat - Teach Me

1228. James Bay - Let It Go

1329. DJ Fresh - Gravity (feat. Ella Eyre)

1418. Selena Gomez - The Heart Wants What It Wants

Ellie a certain for #1 i'm guessing? Meghan will get there too of course, though i'm surprised it isn't higher atm. nice to see 'Under the Shadows' making nice progress, though I still can't quite see it troubling the top 40. Years & Years for a big boost tomorrow pls!

the pre-order for The Avener's "Fade Out Lines" top 40 on the Electronic chart *.* hope it makes a T1500 appearance soon

'Love Me Like You Do' looking set to be significantly bigger than 'Beating Heart' based on this early pre-order performance.

James Bay has predictably had a much better effect from his Sound of 2015 announcement than the others so far, single version of 'Hold Back The River' back up to #33 and the album version is #63. 'If You Ever Want To Be In Love' (the previous instant grat from the album) is also at #53 and as posted above the new one 'Scars' is at #12, could go top 10 soon. The album pre-order itself is also at #40, nearly 3 months ahead of release, I could see the album having pretty huge opening sales!

'Criticize' [sic] by Alexander O'Neal is at #61, never heard of him but he's apparently a celebrity by Big Brother standards. Another new instant grat, 'Teach Me' by Joey Bada$$ feat. Kiesza, is at #65. Szlay.

It's pretty much a staple from the 80s, reached #4 and I remember hearing it on the radio often when I was a youngster (as in beginning primary school in the early 90s :P)

I thought Karen Harding would be higher than that, I hope it improves. I want this to smash!

49. Ellie Goulding - Love Me Like You Do

AMAZING SONG!

If James Bay's announcement can get Hold Back The River back in the top 40 and an instant grat top 20 I really hope

Years & Years have a similar effect tomorrow for Desire/pre-order for King

The more I think about it, the more I feel this is a definite #1 for Ellie.

I never imagined when she debuted 5 years ago that she'd still be here and as huge as she is, she's been really smart with her choices of collaborators and keeping her profile high. Good on her, I say! This is an excellent song as well.

The Karen Harding song COULD be great but it sounds like a demo to me. The vocals just don't sound right. Beat is good though.

Agree with this, it sounds like a Jess Glynne demo/reject. It seems like the sort of song I should like but it's just missing something.

To me it's like an improved 'Right Here' (although I did really like that anyway).
