For most of his teens, Smith balanced study with music, soaking in the raw and passionate approach to performance exemplified by his favorite artists at that time such as Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and Chaka Khan. "Latch" hit the upper reaches of the U.K. singles chart when Smith was 21, and many were surprised when his debut solo track took a more tempered path. The production on February 2013's "Lay Me Down" — also courtesy of the ordinarily dancefloor-focused duo Disclosure — recalled the stripped-back material that had proved successful for Adele in the preceding years. Next, Shahid Khan — aka Naughty Boy — decided to follow his Emeli Sandé-fronted U.K. Top Ten hit "Wonder" with the infectious, Bollywood sample-driven "La La La." Featuring Smith's powerful lead vocal, it became an instant May 2013 U.K. number one single following his spring tour in support of Sandé. - iTunes Chart history - Top 100 (Year peak title) 2012 11 Latch (Disclosure Feat. February 22, 201511 yr I'm pleased that you (chart mods) are finally including top 100 entries in the artists' chart histories! Just a few corrections with Florence's history for Lungs though; "Dog Days are Over" was the 2nd and 8th single, "Drumming Song" was the 4th single, "You Got the Love" was the 5th single, "You Got the Dirtee Love" (later included on Between Two Lungs) was the 6th single, "Cosmic Love" was the 7th single. "Heavy in Your Arms" was a soundtrack single for Twilight and was subsequently added to Between Two Lungs (so could be the 9th if you wish). It should thus look like this 37 57 02 Florence + The Machine What Kind Of Man How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful | 2015 http://a4.mzstatic.com/eu/r30/Music3/v4/53/c2/2d/53c22d9d-f2f1-b4c4-d4a8-097250d713d1/cover170x170.jpeg Chart history - Top 100 (Year peak title): 2008 51 Kiss With A Fist -1- 2008 23 Dog Days Are Over -2/8- 2009 12 Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up) -3- 2009 05 You've Got The Love -5- 2009 54 Drumming Song -4- 2010 02 You Got The Dirtee Love (Florence + The Machine Feat.
