Olly Murs is back with single #3 off his chart topping new album 'Never Been Better'. 'Seasons' is of course the track he worked on with OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder (recorded over a Skype call, no less. Ah, the wonders of technology...).

 

 

Anyway - the EP for the single isn't out for another two weeks but due to the fact it's retailing at 59p for the next week and a half, it's already zooming up iTunes - and doing likewise wonders to the album.

 

Radio 1 and Radio 2 have already B-listed as well, he performs this for the first time on 'The Voice' on BBC One tonight, with additional promo on Loose Women and Jonathan Ross this coming week.

 

The main topic for this is full of outrage from people that 'Did You Miss Me?' wasn't picked next - and I love that song as well but 'Seasons' was my favourite right from the minute I first heard the album. I'd say he's got a very strong chance of another top 10, if not top 15. The video is great as well I think - but how do we think this will get on?

I like the song, but think it will end up having a chart run similar to 'Army Of Two'.

I initially thought about #24 originally but I can see it going top 15 with a tiny glimmer of hope at scraping top 10 possibly with a #9 peak if does but if not I'm saying #14.

 

So my prediction #14 for it's peak :)

Oops, I'm currently the first to think it will peak in the top 5 :lol:

 

It's quite a good track actually, preferable to Up and much better than Wrapped Up but it may instead go about #6 or #7 :thinking:

I think like #23 or something but I agree it'll probably be only because of the Voice boost. It's a pretty poor single choice - not a terrible song or anything but it's one of my least favourites on the album really and isn't very exciting.

This. He actually performs VERY well on streaming - 'Wrapped Up' in particular was getting 1m streams a week for three weeks of its chart run at one point last year. 'Troublemaker' was also #1 on the Streaming Chart in December 2012.

Maybe scrape top 40? The Voice effect hasn't boosted it top 40 on iTunes and there's streaming to factor in. Of course he has his fanbase who will buy on release week and it's getting radio play, so with all things factored in I can see it charting somewhere in the 30's region. I hope to be proved wrong though, probably my favourite single so far from this campaign!

15 - 20 but will give his album a boost. He gets automatic Airplay regardless of the quality of the single.

Top 20, but will probably help sell more copies of his alberm which is the main thing here.

I like it, I think it's a good choice of single, but I can't see it making the Top 10. It might just about scrape the Top 20.
