HA at this missing the top 10! I don't even hate it but it's sooo run of the mill. A completely typical drum and bass track.

Didn't expect that re-entry for 'Changing'! Looks like this new vocal version has given it a nice boost~

Also, is it mainly down to streaming why this is SO low? If so, then that makes me sad because streaming really is taking over so fast.

Party I was going to has suddenly been pushed back to 8.30 so I could've been here the whole time. Grr at bad planning.

Anyway~ first listen of 'Higher' now! Was also expecting it higher (:drama: :kink:).

Here's an old clip of Top 20 chart from the BBC in 1976

Steaming absolutely slaughtered their chart position  ~ should've been a comfortable top five smash!!! :snif:

yep, streaming has probably cost this +5 places, its iTunes performance suggests a #5-7 debut on sales

The production on the verses of this is quite good and distinctive, the rest of the track really lets it down.

I don't think tracks that make the top 10 on iTunes but fall quickly through the week really have a realistic chance of holding onto the top 10, it's just not really enough these days.

Anyway, after two great number 1s, this is fairly formulaic, literally sounds the same as Changing.

Yes and I agree :( I feel the charts are going to get a lot slower with quality tracks that would usually get Top 10 not getting into the Top 40 at all! Very sad! :(

Discussion Thread Here

So now with Flo Rida falling out the top 10 we have the usual 3 musical crimes still bunked up all cosily in the top ten :puke2:

Thanks heavens for Jess Glynne saving the chart this week, phew.

That was practically 'Gravity' with male vocals instead. Not wowing me on first listen.

Flo Rida bringing back the urban swag! :music:

Oh dear, G.D.F.R. might be growing on me. Thankfully it's out of the top 10.

'Higher' sounded rather nondescript on first listen, not surprised it's not done too well. New entries really not impressing me a lot this week. At least 'Hold My Hand' is quite good (and I liked P Money's part on 'Lamborghini').
