Posted April 23, 201510 yr http://cdn1.independent.ie/incoming/article30600316.ece/e6cb2/ALTERNATES/h342/corrs%206.jpg Now this is one rumoured comeback I hope is true: http://www.independent.ie/entertainment/mu...r-31164953.html Dundalk band The Corrs are expected to announce a music comeback, a decade after their last album. The sibling supergroup are working on a new album together in London, according to The Sun. Over the last decade some of the group have taken time out from the spotlight – both Andrea and Sharon also launched solo careers. The band became a worldwide sensation in the 1990s, with smash hits including ‘Runaway’, ‘Breathless’ and ‘So Young’. Brother Jim said in 2009 that he was sure the band would re-unite at some point in the future. “I’m sure that some time in the future, when the time is right, The Corrs will get back together”. At the peak of their fame the band toured Europe, the US and Australia. They are widely regarded as the biggest Irish band after U2 – having performed for Pope John Paul II, Nelson Mandela and two American Presidents. Edited June 9, 201510 yr by ThePensmith
April 23, 201510 yr Hope it's true as they have done nothing solo that has worked - Not sure what kind of market there will be for them 10 years on but I'm sure they could shift a few albums still and be Radio 2 faves
April 23, 201510 yr Author They always did immensely well with touring as I seem to remember - certainly that would be a very lucrative option for them. I'd definitely go and see them - maybe with my parents as they were both huge fans. Their Royal Albert Hall video was always on repeat in our house and 'Talk on Corners' likewise on my mum's stereo and I have a lot of love for that album and 'Borrowed Heaven'. April 23, 201510 yr This is potentially exciting but I'm not sure I fully believe it for some reason. My sister used to be a huge fan when we were kids and it really rubbed off on me too so I have nearly all their stuff, and we also went to see them live. I haven't heard most of the solo stuff, maybe a song here and there but nothing has really grabbed my interest.
April 23, 201510 yr *.* I absolutely NEED this to be true, by far my favourite group of all time. Talk On Corners, Borrowed Heaven and Forgiven Not Forgotten are all incredible albums.
April 23, 201510 yr Author It would appear, going off Jim's Twitter, it is indeed true: https://twitter.com/therealjimcorr/status/591165971047587840 :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: I loved Andrea's solo stuff. Only heard bits and pieces of Sharon's stuff but it sounded pleasant enough.

April 23, 201510 yr Could this be 2004 all over again with amazing Corrs and Delta albums in the same year? I can but dream.
April 23, 201510 yr Author Seeing as it is indeed true...an obligatory top 10 rate ;) 1. So Young 2. Radio 3. What Can I Do? 4. Give Me a Reason 5. Would You Be Happier? 6. Only When I Sleep 7. Dreams 8. Long Night 9. Angel 10. The Right Time
April 24, 201510 yr Great news! I'd love to go and see them for a dose of nostalgia. Weird, 'What Can I Do' has been going round in my head for the past week!
April 24, 201510 yr This is OBVIOUSLY the best Corrs song: xI0GDSTTccA I'm so tempted to get their album boxset, but I'll stick to Spotify.
April 24, 201510 yr Author This is OBVIOUSLY the best Corrs song: xI0GDSTTccA I'm so tempted to get their album boxset, but I'll stick to Spotify. Oooh good call re: 'Summer Sunshine'! I almost got that album boxset myself in HMV sale a month or two ago - I've got the albums anyway but some more than others are getting a bit worn with age ('Talk on Corners' and 'Forgiven not Forgotten' namely).
April 24, 201510 yr Funny enough I was listening to some of their stuff the other day and always had fond memories of this group, they had such great songs and still got the "Talk On Corners" album somewhere in my collection. I became an instant fan of theirs when I heard "What Can I Do" which is such a stunning and beautiful melody and still love it now. I still got their Greatest Hits album as well with so many great tunes = "Runaway", "What Can I Do", "So Young", "The Right Time", "Breathless", "Radio", "Give Me A Reason", "Would You Be Happier", "Summer Sunshine" which was probably their last great song. vzerbXFwGCE I remember this hitting #1 and thought WOW, such a wonderful uplifting tune, just great solid pop with fantastic vocals, just amazing back in the late 90's and early 00's when pop music was at it's finest and peak.
April 24, 201510 yr Love The Corrs. I doubt they'd see success but a comeback would be much appreciated.
April 26, 201510 yr Have always enjoyed the Corrs and bought all their albums so successful or not chart wise i look forward to a new album, they are mega fantastic live as well.
