I'm not feeling the new track from Leona, its a bit repetitive in places, at least its got a beat than her previous hits :lol: bit of a mess towards the end though.

I think that because I heard the snippet way back in December I wasn't really overwhelmed by it at first. But then once I played it on full volume, I realised how strong a single this actually is for Leona. Her notes at the end are true Leona. I also think the lyrics in the verses are brilliant: "Living with Lions / Tigers and Titans / Afraid to get hurt / Now I'm making them purr" / "Drowning in quicksand / Nobody takes my hand / I thought it buried me / But now I am set free". I think many people associate the words "boring", "depressing" and "ballad" with Leona and I think this songs contradicts all three descriptions. It's uplifting, empowering and catchy, something the general public and radio *should* eat up. :D

Great to see it top 100! Wonder how high it'll go! Also the song was a bit underwhelming at first for me, but the more I listen the more I LOVE it! Seriously huge grower *_* Although the chorus did get stuck in my head so it's instant in some regards. :cheer:

June 7th doesn't have much competition - plus Leona has a lot of promotion coming up plus a performance on the 7th on Sunday night at the Palladium on the day of release. If she gets good radio support I wouldn't be surprised if she was a contender for #1.

That is so depressing.

 

Fingers crossed for FUMF. Has the potential to be a hit IF she can get the radio support. Time will tell. So happy to have new Leona music in my life again.

this Leona song is quite good actually! Can't see it being a massive #1 but it should definitely give her another top 10 if radio support it, which is amazing for someone who won The X Factor nearly 10 years ago
