Kanye continues his fine run of sneaking his songs in. Last year's finalists Blurred Lines and Scream and Shout are unlucky to miss out while Same Love, also in last year's final, doesn't really come close. Further down I noticed Tegan and Sara outperforming themselves to make the top 50, wonderful track that should get more attention, Jennifer Lopez seems remarkably low for how I thought Live It Up was loved and Reflektor gets rather high on fanbase buys. Flatline was a bit of a questionable AQ last year but it has no problem making it back in. The same for Disco Love to a slightly lesser extent. Finally, Still Into You and two HAIM songs pleasingly make their debut among 2013's best.

Where should I set the barrier for higher votes? If I set this myself I end up trying to choose the barrier that favours the song I like more. The song that Lost & Not Found lost out to had one less top score, twice as many top 3s, an equal number of top 5s and 6 top 10s to L&NF's 8. It got one more vote. It's difficult to say how low you can go before votes won't translate to the next round.
