July 17, 201510 yr I'm terribly sorry but: A) I don't want dance by the water under the Mexican sky, B ) I don't want drink some margaritas by moonlight C) nor listen to the Mariachi play by midnight. Edited July 17, 201510 yr by N-S
July 17, 201510 yr 'Are You With Me' is SO bad and 'Black Magic' is easily Little Mix's worst lead to date, very average. 'Shine' being the saviour of the top 3.

If only they'd got #1 with any of the far superior singles from their last album though. Or 'DNA' (the song). 'Black Magic' is their weakest single to date, I really hope they're not going to change to Capital pandering averageness permanently now. They were formed exclusively for the eighth series of The X Factor in 2011 and became the first group to win the competition. Following their victory, they signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Music and released a cover of Damien Rice's "Cannonball" as their winner's single. Little Mix released their debut album DNA on 19 November 2012. It charted in the top 5 in eight countries, including number two in the UK and number four on the US Billboard 200. This made Little Mix the first girl group since The Pussycat Dolls to reach the U.S. top 5 with their debut album, as well as earning the highest debut U.S. chart position by a British girl group, breaking the record previously held by the Spice Girls, whose 1996 debut Spice charted at number five. July 17, 201510 yr Hats of to Little Mix, I really thought they'd struggle to get another #1 after Move missed out but they've produced a really strong pop song & released it at the right time! Both the #1 & #2 are very good tracks but I slightly prefer Black Magic so happy that it's won. (Shine should have been #1 last week though).
July 17, 201510 yr Black Magic is the 2nd or 3rd best #1 this year after love me like you do and maybe hold my hand :cheer: Such an amazing fantastic pop track which is incredibly catchy and fantastic    Shine is starting to grow a bit but still so overrated on here
July 17, 201510 yr Not in the UK, it is the global release date. In the UK it was released on the 10th July ;) The 7Digital release date is given as 22 June, and I was always of the impression that was the UK release date - was it made available on that site sooner? I know this has been known to happen.
July 17, 201510 yr Shine grown on me a LOT, I really love it now. Black Magic on the other hand is pretty average...
July 17, 201510 yr Shine has the sound of a track that won't get overly boring after 2 weeks like Desire or King did.
July 17, 201510 yr The 7Digital release date is given as 22 June, and I was always of the impression that was the UK release date - was it made available on that site sooner? I know this has been known to happen. I don't think so because until 10th July it had zero sales, only streaming points.
July 17, 201510 yr Such a rubbish and underwhelming number one. The sooner this clears off the better :(
July 17, 201510 yr So thank you guys again for joining this Friday afternoon for the second ever Friday chart show this time with full 7 days of sales :D
