January 27, 20196 yr Do Buzzjackers think concerts are overpriced? I haven't been to one for years. My late daughter saw Nicole Sherzinger and think she paid about £50 about 7 years ago. I ask because there's a thread on DS about it at the moment and most posters say there are overpriced. What do you think? I think they're on a par with theatre tickets really. We want to see the Tina musical in the West End but the best available seats today are well over £100 for the week after next when it's my wife's birthday. I'd pay up to £60 maybe. The hefty booking fee can make matters a good deal worse. I'm lucky enough to be able to get tickets for Brighton venues direct from the box office which means I can avoid the fee as long as the event isn't an instant sell-out.

Suppose it all comes down to how much you love the act and are willing to pay. I mean if you're a superfan you'd pay hundreds if you had it.

January 28, 20196 yr Just bought my ticket last week to see Kelly Clarkson in March, incredibly hyped!! I already know my next purchase will be Hozier and Sheryl Crow on my birthday weekend in June (and plenty more since it's a festival) :D

It's a lot cheaper and easier when nobody knows/likes your favourite artists - got tickets to see TVam for just £8! Was going to see The 1975 but the tickets were like £40, not a chance.

January 28, 20196 yr Surely Cher's mum must be at least 200 years old? Pah! A mere 92  , singer-songwriter, actress and model Georgia Holt. Working with big bands age 10, radio age 6, films from 1950, Tv including the genre-defining I Love Lucy, and most recently RuPaul's Drag Race. Cher is only 11 years older than me, so she could be an older sister in an alternative universe  Re:ticket prices, way overpriced. I refuse to pay re-sale prices, and anything over £100 is taking the piss. Turned down Fleetwood Mac cos Lindsay Buck not involved, seen them 4 times though, always epic. One day I'll list all my gigs, but it'll be so depressing how many are dead :( First concert: Jigsaw 1977 (they had hits with Sky High & If I Have To Go Away and wrote Who Do You Think You Are later covered by Saint Etienne) Most recent concert: Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons 2018. Most recent 21st Century Acts: Katy Perry & Hailey Steinfeld 2018 Barcelona
