Can anyone explain the recovery of Birdy's Wings? It fell quite a bit last week and now it's back?

The advert's being shown lots again!

Following the trend of best Bond themes, they have to be Goldfinger, GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, Live & Let Die, View To A Kill, The World Is Not Enough and The Living Daylights. Actually quite a lot.
Die Another Day >>>>>>>>>
Truth tea right hurrrrr (oh and all this Bond theme talk, theres a rate of them going on in the movies forum, I'm on my phone so haven't got the link!)

Sam doing the Bond theme was inevitable really. Unless the release os scheduled properly this time, I wouldnt say it was "guaranteed #1" when Adele was kept off the top a few times. But we'll see. It wouldn't surprise me if it did go #1, but I wouldn't be so sure it was guaranteed tbh.

I hope all this talk of favourite Bond themes reminds Johnkm to continue his Bond theme results in the Movie forum. :smoke:
REALLY?!

'You Know My Name' is my favourite bond theme actually. It has everything I want in one, quite a bit of anger!

Goldfinger

Best theme and possibly best film too? Either that or “You Only Live Twice”. “The World Is Not Enough” is great even though the film is, well.. not.

Agree with the general view that “Die Another Day” is by far the worst Bond theme - truly AWFUL.

Pre-orders and their positions are almost meaningless these days which is good for suspense.

I wouldn't say 'meaningless'. They still give a good indication of roughly where a song will chart upon release.

I don't understand why Lana Del Rey hasn't done a Bond theme yet. I literally can't think of anyone more vocally suited to one than her!

Well she's only had two chances and it couldn't be anyone other than Adele in 2012! But I do agree that she would be perfect for the job as her music has that dark and atmospheric feel to it. Likewise, Muse most definitely could do a huge Bond theme.

Yeah I know, but the indication is nowhere near as good as it was about a year or two ago. That's why I said "almost" meaningless.

Sam Smith's bond theme, "Writing's On The Wall", goes up for pre-order at midnight :0 Dunno when we can expect the digital release but the CD is being released October 23rd to go along with the movie.
I guess we now know the song that will disrupt the Sigala/Justin Bieber top 2 for September.
yeah I think it's an obvious #1. It's already big news that Sam Smith's doing the bond theme so it'll have lots of hype by the time it gets released (OA/OS presumably).
Then again...something always seems to get in the way of the Bond themes reaching No.1, even dead cert Adele managed to miss out because of the odd release strategy.
Sam Smith doing the the Bond theme will push the sales of his album to overtake the superior X album by Ed Sheeran.
