Also fans are being encouraged to play the song on Spotify all day when only 10 plays per user per day count to the official chart.

True but it's easier to ask fans to play the song all day rather than specifically 10 times a day.

I put a shamefully large amount of money on Bieber at 9/1 yesterday. Come on Justin, make me rich! *.*

How much is 'shamefully large'? After reading your post on Sunday I put a small bet on Justin. If he ends up being Christmas number one, I have you to thank.

It doesn't seem so shameful now he's already had his odds slashed so much but still keeping it secret unless/until it pays out just in case!

I'd actually much prefer Stormzy getting the Xmas #1 even if it does mean losing my bet though.

Despite me not liking the Bieber's song I'd love it to go to #1 next week, as we are LONG OVERDUE a "normal" Christmas #1!
One year, can there be an ACTUAL Christmas song in with a chance of number 1, please? None of this Band Aid rehash either.
after so many xfactor threads you people are such hypocrites not wanting some new artist to be #1 for 1 week. instead mr. 200 million dollar womanizer bieber should win another week. this forum is full of pathetic belibers..
I'm just hoping this starts the end of X-Factor's monopoly on the Christmas #1.

I still wish Louisa all the best after this though.

I honestly think this is it now for XFactor number ones - hopefully next year should see some new battles again!

The Louisa song is just poor and people dont want to buy it. I wouldnt generalise too much off the back of its performance.

Although the show is gradually losing its popularity it still has quite an impact, whether that's a positive impact is another matter.....

only because his song is the only realistic chance to beat xfactor next week.

after that he can go home, for what I'm concerned.

1

Louisa Johnson - Forever Young

1.0000 1.0000

2

Justin Bieber - Love Yourself

0.7244 0.7089

3

Stormzy - Shut Up (Studio Version)

0.6907 0.6449

Stormzy looking like overtaking Bieber in possibly the next update, so he could genuinely reach #1 on iTunes later today or tomorrow.

(Bieber is not even green in this update, Louisa is just declining quickly).

Louisa Johnson has been in pink for goodness knows how many hours now! She might not even get top 3 let alone number one this week or even next week.

1,000th post! :cheer:

I have a feeling that next year will be the last X Factor is on the air too, so unless next year's winning song really connects with the public in an Impossible type way The X Factor won't be getting the Christmas #1 ever again and it'll be the turn of 'normal' or charity songs

 44. Snakehips featuring Tinashe & Chance The Rapper - All My Friends :cheer: Hope this gets top 40 officially after Xmas

Don't be so immature. We know you don't like Justin, you've said it numerous times, but don't slag off those who do like him. I'd much rather Louisa got #1 but am accepting she won't and will continue to enjoy the Justin domination as he's one of my favourite artists.

Really hoping Louisa gets to work with big names to produce a huge Ghost-type smash of a debut single next year, and I think she can too. Hopefully this can just be brushed under the carpet.

I think this is wishful thinking. The press will obviously pick up on it and I don't think they'll let it go so therefore attach it to what she does afterwards. And if I'm not wrong Ella Henderson had a far more modest exit from the show than Louisa because she wasn't the winner. The attention wasn't on her but therefore on the music, and I think that would be a key reason why Ghost did so well as it seemed so organic. But then again I suppose Louisa is probably as known as Ella was when she left the show. It will be interesting to see what happens next at least.
