They're performing this on Graham Norton this week, so I'd love to see a top 40 re-entry from this!

Stitches making good progress now it's in the top 10! Hopefully it can continue increasing over the next couple of days, once it gets to #9 it's not too far to #6 (but I won't get ahead of myself yet :kink:)
I wouldn't worry, it seems very likely at this point to be a long running top 5 peaking hit.

yay, this is coming for 600k

but, i feel so sory for eyes shut. they complete ignored the song

So NHS Choir could actually do what I initially thought and fall right out of the top 20 to smash McFly's record?

Easily, but the record technically belongs to Union J who fell 1-22 on the sales chart in December 2014.

I'm predicting: 1-37.

Great to see 99 Souls back up to #12 and "Shut Up And Dance" back in the top 20.

#34. "When We Were Young" - should rise a lot in the new year with airplay picking up. Hoping it'll go to #1 after Adele performs it at the Brits.

I'd be shocked if the NHS Choir remained top 40 at the way they're fallling, bearing in mind also that they have next to no streams.
The NHS song was a campaign aimed at making Xmas #1. Its not a 'typical' chart song is it..... It achieved its aim successfully.
Hope Ace of Spades gets a good boost soon, as people get home and hear the news. It would be great if it makes top 40.

Yess NHS Choir, smash that record please. It'll probably never be beaten again now.

Nice to see 'Ace Of Spades' making an impact here, would be great if it could make the top 40 (probably won't overall but could do so on sales based on its current positions).

Why not, there will probably be another charity Xmas number 1 campaign song, and soon like next Xmas!

Ace of Spades up to #27. Some very nice tributes coming in...

Streaming will be much bigger and downloads much smaller by that point, and it's hard to encourage people to go back to outdated consumption methods, even for charity. For these campaigns to work in the future they're going to need to focus more on getting people to listen to the song (which is hard, as they're often so incredibly crap musically) rather than buying it.
