Is it possible to say that Adele 25 after breaking all records could have less total sales than Adele 21?

Depends how bad a stutter you might have.

My current rap obsession  I love the way he sounds like he's about to die, it's really addictive :music:

I think this will be huge over the summer... Can't get enough of it right now!

Adele will take the number 1 based on the sales information. It would be wonderful if All Saints could take a top 5 album position officially.
I think Adele has this in the bag. Seeing Deftones at the top has made me very happy - despite the fact they'll not hold on, although they'll definitely end up beating their previous best - #7 in 2003. The fact The Lumineers are so high is surprising, given they haven't had a hit this era like 'Ho Hey'.

Also, I know sales are low, but I'm really surprised/confused to see Placebo's 2006 album 'Meds' re-enter at #90...

That's how I felt when I saw Mr Brightside jump into the 50s from 100 two weeks ago

Unless Adele retakes the top position, is it possible that this week could provide the lowest ever sales for a new number 1 album? (Rihanna holds the record overall, but that was when Talk That Talk returned to number 1 almost a year after it did so the first time)

It's not really something that can be answered given Adele is incredibly likely to get #1 this week, with Lukas Graham possibly getting #2.

The lowest sale for a new number one album is the 12,341 that Faithless sold to get #1 last year, I believe.

Adele has benn above those 3 albums (and above Graham) on iTunes since sunday morning... and she is a good physical copies seller, so she should go back to #1 at the end of the week... I hope so!

and if she finally releases SML with a video... I wouldnt be surprised if she gets another #1 on a latter stage!

Adele is looking at about 13k for the end of the week, if she sells at a similar rate as she did last week. There's not really anything that could give her a boost unless single #3 gets confirmed (rumours of 'Send My Love' being released next have been circling for a few weeks now).

In the next 2 weeks (15/4 & 22/4) only PJ Harvey will sell over 10k as well!

Massive drop coming for The Vamps on the singles chart - Already down to #74 so could easily be pushed out of the Top 100 by Friday. Such a shame to see them flopping this era especially as the album is so good.

Please to see Years & Years at #27 with 'Desire' - Hope they can beat their original peak of #22 and it can snatch a week in the Top 20 as so far this is their lowest charting single and only one to miss the Top 20.

^ 'Real' & 'Take Shelter' peaked at #158 and #140, I'm pretty sure both are considered to be official singles from the 'Communion' album?

"This Is Acting" by Sia currently at number 9 but saw an advert on TV last night for it (on SKY 1 during Modern Family), hopefully that an indication of a push to the top, suspect it will end up in the Top 5 this week.

Come on Sia :cheer: Would be amazing for her to get to the top !

That Zayn drop is ridiculous :o

Is Rick Astley anywhere to be seen? Or was that new single 'Keep Singing' not properly released?

Mr Brightside is one of those really consistent trickle sellers though, whereas Meds is an album that disappeared out of the chart almost immediately after release despite debuting in the Top 10 (3 weeks in the chart overall I think?) with none of its further singles helping reignite interest.

After doing a little search, it's been reissued on vinyl, so that along with those upcoming arena tour dates for their 20th anniversary will be what's helped it.

Hope DNCE can finally go top 10. If not, they'll get there in a fortnight for sure as they're on next week's Graham Norton

The Vamps were pretty front loaded with physicals though - so it's no surprise. The fact that OMI's appearance on it didn't help much is interesting - but then again his follow up to Cheerleader and his album did relatively nothing.

Can't comment on how good/bad the album is though (I've heard 3 or 4 tracks and they don't quite fit into my taste but I'm surprised at the underperformance of it.

I can see The Vamps rising again in the next couple of weeks, possibly sneaking another week in the top 40. It's holding on on iTunes a lot better than I expected, it just all depends on if it can manage any streams.
