Should manage around 70-75k by the end of the week then I would imagine. Should just beat the 67,858 that 'Beyoncé' managed, obviously with a little extra time on the week.

Lemonade sold 25.6k in day one, and 17.3k yesterday. It should manage around 65 - 75k for Friday I imagine.

 

Beyonce tracks have 0% streaming, so Tidal really doesn't have an effect.

Judging by that update 'Purple Rain' looks safe for #4/5 officially. New peak for definite. Pleased 'When Doves Cry' looks to be safe for a play on Friday too!

Those sales are great for a £13.99 digital-only album. I'm so relieved that Lemonade will be going straight in at #1 unlike Beyoncé which painfully missed out on even getting there at all. I hope her sales continue to impress next week even though I expect Drake will have massive opening week sales too so I doubt she'll be #1.

 

It's such a shame sales count for so little nowadays too because I'd have loved Formation to make the top 10, and without Spotify, it doesn't seem likely :(

Didn't several Kanye tracks go top 200 based on Tidal streaming alone? The 0% streaming might just be from Tidal being slow to report.

 

All I've heard from this Beyoncé era so far is 'Formation' which is a bit shit. So :x at her coming to deny Prince a posthumous #1 based on that.

Very pleased about this, too. Though if she'd put it on iTunes and Spotify the day it premiered on iTunes, I'm sure it would have been a #1 for her. Formation is still the best on the album for me.

Good to see Beyoncé and Prince holding up the album chart, cos if they weren't sales would be abysmal! (5K for Adele!!!)

I don't follow album charts much so I apologise if this is obvious. How many albums have made it to number 1 without any physical sales contributing to its weekly total?

For a release that's already been out two weeks and has spent the majority of the week overshadowed by Prince and Beyonce that's INSANE.

Good to see Prince still dominating the album chart and that 'Purple Rain' is looking to stay top 10 :cheer: I have heard 'Lemonade' and really like it so not too upset at that beating Prince now :heehee:

 

Aside, i'm a bit shocked 'Lovesexy' isn't doing better and is going to miss the top 40. I know he has like 30+ albums to choose from but I thought that would be one that does well :o The rest of the albums charting seem to be in the order I expected anyway ('Purple Rain' and 'Sign 'O' The Times' :wub:)
