June 24, 20169 yr The Economy is crashing before our eyes, Nigel already admitted he lied about extra money for the NHS. This campaign was lead by deceit and fear. When so much of the country are more willing to get their information from The Daily Mail and The Sun rather than looking at fact, we should NEVER have been given the vote when more MPs were in favour of remain. I've been part of quite a few elections in the 10 years I've legally been able to vote, and apart from the local elections, I've always been met with unwanted results. But this is the first time I ever shed a tear over the results.
June 24, 20169 yr Leave supporters please feel free to revisit any and all of my comments on buzzjack and find any errors at any time now or over the next few years. Re: silas' comment about the illiterate xenophobe, thats not correct. Quite obviously literate. Just economically ignorant.
June 24, 20169 yr Corbyn's campaign was woeful. If that is s sign of how he would run a general election campaign, the Labour party are better off without him. What would be the point in replacing him with one of the Labour "moderates"? The likes of Chuka Umunna, Liz Kendall et al were some of the leaders of the In Campaign - therefore, they've just shown they have as little feel for public opinion as Corbyn has.
June 24, 20169 yr That's England crossed of my to visit list. Aww. :( I'm half Irish, love your country. Must visit again soon. Have uncle and family there.
June 24, 20169 yr Well my sister, who's an Electrical engineer, is furious and predicts a huge recession, house price rise, inflation, mortgage rate increase. All scaremongering. Won't happen.
June 24, 20169 yr "US presidential hopeful Donald Trump has said it is a "great thing" that the people of the UK have "taken back their country" in voting to leave the EU"
June 24, 20169 yr This is shocking i am ashamed to be British :( Edited June 24, 20169 yr by HarryEzra
June 24, 20169 yr I am so sad this morning :( I've always been admiring the UK and giving a lot of love to your culture, your country and your people. I've lived in London for one year and it was the best experience of my life. This morning, I feel like you have stabbed Europe in the back and you're sending us nothing but hate. You don't want to be with us, you don't want to be our friends, you just want to kill something that has helped to bring back peace on our continent. I know a lot of people in Europe feel like me right now, we feel shocked and betrayed. Sorry, this is not my country and I shouldn't give my opinion, but I feel so sad right now and I needed to express it. :(
June 24, 20169 yr This is shocking i am ashamed to be British :( I guess what this referendum proves is that there are a lot of differing perceptions on what it means to be British.
June 24, 20169 yr Markets always vounce back in the medium to long term. Well, they do. But the effects of 2008 are still being felt today, and eight years is a very long time. It's been something of a lost decade. Economists don't really worry about stock markets in themselves (although spending £250 billion in the blink of an eye to stablise them is very, very real and a sterling crash has very immediate consequences), they worry about the economic reality they project.
June 24, 20169 yr I guess what this referendum proves is that there are a lot of differing perceptions on what it means to be British. To me being British means being racist, uneducated and selfish. So yeah I'm ashamed to be British tbh.
June 24, 20169 yr I guess what this referendum proves is that there are a lot of differing perceptions on what it means to be British. I had hoped that being British had changed over the years. I had hoped that it meant being open, outward-looking and inclusive. Clearly I was wrong. I have never felt more ashamed to be British.
June 24, 20169 yr Well my sister, who's an Electrical engineer, is furious and predicts a huge recession, house price rise, inflation, mortgage rate increase. All scaremongering. Won't happen. And yet all the experts have so far been proved right and the leave liars wrong, and its only been 6 hours. We all bow to your insider ability to predict the future. If only you had told us you had the gift of foresight.....rather than what on the surface looks like blind faith based on nothing. As for farages call for independence day. The movie was timed by murdoch for release on the same day as the vote. You may care to note that in the movie London is completely destroyed. Have a nice day.
June 24, 20169 yr I guess what this referendum proves is that there are a lot of differing perceptions on what it means to be British. British?! Scotland will leave the union (don't blame them!). There is no Britain to take back.
June 24, 20169 yr I had hoped that being British had changed over the years. I had hoped that it meant being open, outward-looking and inclusive. Clearly I was wrong. I have never felt more ashamed to be British. Hear bloody hear. Shame on you, leave voters.
