There in a nutshell is the flaw with the influence of streaming but I guess that is another thread!

Well you can only contribute 0.7 of a sale per week from streaming, yet 1 download will get you a solid complete sale.

In the physical era you could buy multiple copies of the same single in a week and they were counted.

All true but you can contribute another 0.7 sale next week (and continue to do so for as long as you like without incurring any additional cost other than your Streaming subscription), this is where there should be a cap.

All discussed before but you can easily add more sales if you are so inclined through streaming - listen to remixes, album versions etc., and you can easily clock up an extra 'sale' or 2 - Also looking at the Bieber stans most stream from multiple accounts and listen to multiple versions and create playlists to maximize sales

I don't think most Bieber fans do any of that, he just has a wide enough appeal to get huge streams :P

There are huge groups on social media dedicated to the cause! Of course he has mass appeal but there is a lot of streaming manipulation that happens as has been seen with the likes of Joel Adams too (Song not in the iTunes Top 500 but has achieved a #50 hit and 10 weeks on the chart)

Biffy Clyro and Twenty One Pilots should both get decent album boosts this week, both are £1.99 on Google Play and currently the #1 and #3 best selling artist albums (Sales are low from GP but both should benefit from this especially Biffy seeing as their album is only about 2 months old).

Joel Adams is explained by his presence on the biggest Spotify playlists :P No doubt the same for Justin. It's not manipulation, it's just good marketing techniques.

That's quite sad not gonna lie.

Yes, both Artists performing at Reading this weekend as well, should be enough to push both Albums in Top 10 surely?

For your information, while I just remembered we won't have any mids tomorrow or from Radio 1/ OCC due to Bank Holiday Monday, the latest could be Wednesday, if we don't have other information on Tuesday.

I doubt Music Week will be publishing them either as there appears to be nobody in the office today. That said, the latest digital issue of the magazine has just been uploaded to yudu so possibly someone must be working there today...

ooooooOOOOOOOoooooOOOOOOOoooooo BARBRA STREISAND

What relevance *__*

But yeah, Chainsmokers for number one please it is about time. And it'd be nice for Brigneu to finally get a number one album but Barbra will probably sell more.

I wonder whether Will Young's E.P. will chart. I suspect it will miss the top75.

Can it chart? I think due to chart rules it can't count towards the singles chart? If it is eligible for the album charts then I'm sure it will snatch a place? Surely he will sell the 800 required to go Top 100 with downloads and his physical/bundle sales?

Music Week have published the midweeks. Unfortunately, it's last Monday's they've published! At least they tried...
That's quite apt, as this week's update is probably more or less the same at the top end anyway! <_<
