August 30, 201610 yr you can't really complain when Britney Jean only peaked at #34 and sold just 12,959 copies in its first week (and in Q4 and when sales were generally better than they are now). I'd say 'Glory' is doing very well considering.

I think Little Mix could change that, but if not them, I don't know who. :unsure: Honestly hadn't noticed, but when female artists like Rihanna and Sia have had some of the years biggest hits I don't suppose it matters.
August 30, 201610 yr I'm a little surprised with the Frank Ocean drop in numbers - I mean I know it's only available on iTunes, but the amount of press coverage this album has been getting is immense. I would expect it to be holding on a little better.

If we had them our top 100 would remain much fresher than the US Hot 100 but at the moment we have songs like Mr Brightside, Chandelier and Lean On hogging positions in the top 100 that could go to songs and artists that would otherwise not get the recognition of having a minor chart hit.

I must admit I'd have preferred that 8k to have been for Monday's update, but it seems like the album is on track for just under the sales of Britney Jean which, like you say, is good considering the times of year the two albums have been released are at opposite ends of the spectrum for sales.

August 30, 201610 yr Sia is still there with Cheap thrills cos of streams not cos of proper sales, she's not top 40 on itunes any more... I'd say rather than introducing the recurrent rule like in Billboard, it would be better to limit streams so that once you've reached 1 sale, your streams do not count anymore, so that thinks don't count forever

Incorrect, it's only just dropped out of the top 20 on sales (now at #21). It has many multiple versions which are putting it higher combined. So it's not all down to streams.
