Yep the glories of 00s funky house :dance:

In terms of those later tracks with the Shapeshifters nu disco style production, I always preferred Star Pilots - in the Heat Of The Night to Trippin On You though.

I doubt they'd make 'Alive' a proper single again, it's been a reasonable hit already even with its low peak.

'Move Your Body' (Alan Walker Remix) would be a great choice.

I hope they don't move on to 'Alive', it's by far the worst Sia track I think I've heard :/ I can see why it was turned down and I don't get why it has been covered so much on X-Factor this year!

40 & 79. Mariah Carey- All I Want For Christmas Is You

71. Wham!- Last Christmas

76 & 98. The Pogues ft Kirsty MacColl- Fairytale of New Yorkrk

77. Roy Wood & Wizzard- I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday

86. Shakin' Stevens- Merry Christmas Everyone

Mariah Carey is really climbing fast and i saw that she is number 38 on the main chart at this early point of the week. Her position will likely improve as the week progresses.
Yeh it will and then stabilise after the weekend, streaming will help it more this year I would say though!
With it being Christmas Week on XF this weekend, I can see Saara performing AIWFCIY and therefore boosting it even more.
I can actually see Saara getting a traditional Christmas song like 'Silent Night' or 'O Holy Night' over the contemporary pop songs!

Praying that Matt gets to sing AIWFCIY.

As long as it's not Emily, please :puke2:

I'd love a traditional track like this to go top 40 again - here's the chart peaks of artists that have brought the latter two into the chart -

Silent Night -

Date entered Artist Title Peak Chart run

14/12/1991 Sinead O'Connor Silent Night 60 {60}-68-64-73->4

07/12/1991 Simon And Garfunkel A Hazy Shade Of Winter/Silent Night 30 70-34-32-{30}-34-71->6

03/12/1988 Bros Cat Among The Pigeons/Silent Night 2 {2}-4-5-6-8-10-21-51->8

16/12/1978 The Dickies Silent Night 47 53-{47}-47-47->4

20/12/1952 Bing Crosby Silent Night, Holy Night 8 {8}-8->2

So Bing Cosby in 1952 was the last to get a big hit with it - Bros no2 hit was a double A side and I'm sure AirPlay was focuses on the pop track.

I still think Saara will be paired with Mariah, but if they do go for something less predictable then O Holy Night is definitely a likely choice as it is on her own Christmas album!
didn't realise enough people listened to Jamie Cullum's Radio 2 show to buy his single into the top 40.

Ew no Silent Night needs to be buried. Hopefully One More Sleep and Underneath The Tree get performed but I'm expecting the usual songs as always. :lol:

Sad to see Alive dropping already, I'd hoped it might stick around but now I guess that wish is over unless it suddenly appears on a mainstream TV show again or advert. :(
I realise how late I am discovering this, but given that they're responsible for one of the most overplayed and annoying songs of all time almost three years ago (R****r B*)...I really, really like Rockabye, it sounds like a Europop hit circa 1997-8 at points. Glad it hit #1!
