That new Kiesza was a bit cringe on first listen, it just didn't click with me :/

 

The production is good, its just the vocal style is a bit cheesy and dated for todays market I think. Would have done brilliantly if it was released in the 2000s though.

It hasn't necessarily sold '45k in a few hours' the figure on digital sales data is what it's likely to sell in on iTunes in 24 hours at the same rate it's selling at at that moment.

I would have preferred Sia releasing 'Never Give Up' properly rather than 'Move Your Body' but they're both great songs (obviously, as it's Sia :P) so as long as the latter becomes a hit I'm happy.

 

I would have preferred Sia releasing Move Your Body (Alan Walker remix) as it has become quite popular on youtube already and as a few people have said on the dance forum there there are some Eiffel 65 vibes production wise with this, and it sounds a lot different to most of todays chart dance music.

 

I suppose the original would still qualify as EDM, it sounds genre wise like some sort of breakbeat for the buildup amd chorus and progressive house for the verses.
