I was wondering, are there any songs that have done decently in the charts / are doing decently now / being tipped to do well that you haven't heard yet? There's a few for me and I was wondering what tracks the rest of you haven't yet heard...

Izzy Bizu - Talking To You

Rag'n'Bone Man - Skin

Train - Play That Song

Nathan Sykes - There's Only One Of You

Dave & J Hus - Samantha

Bebe Rexha - I Got You

Ryan Gosling & Emma Stone - City of Stars

Bakermat - Baby

John Legend - Start a Fire

Stevie Wonder ft Ariana Grande - Faith

Big Sean - Bounce Back

Flo Rida - Cake

Jon Bellion - All Time Low

I've heard Play That Song and I Got You but other than those two I haven't heard any of the others you've posted either

Haven't heard any of the ones you've posted apart from I Got You/Faith/the La La Land ones (which are all fab!)

From the current top 100 these are the ones I haven't heard!:

Migos- Bad & Boujee

Childish Gambino- Redbone

The Nathan Sykes one

Mura Masa ft. Asap Rocky- Lovesick

Chris Brown- Party

Mic Lowry- Oh Lord

J Cole- Deja Vu

I used to hear songs before they entered the charts but I didn't realise until I really looked at the top 100 just how many songs left me

Starley - call on me

Migos -bad and boujee

Louis Tomlinson - just hold on

Robin Schulz - shed a light

Rae Sremmurd - Black Beatles

Tinie Tempah - Text from my ex

The XX - On Hold

Chris Brown - Party

I do have Vevo to thank when they announce the official videos to new songs. Other than that I'm lost

From the current Top 100:

Machine Gun Kelly feat. Camilla Carbello - Bad Things (don't know if I've heard this)

Sage The Gemini - Now And Later

Shawn Mendes - Mercy (don't know if I've heard this)

Little Mix feat. Charlie Puth - Oops

Martin Jensen - Solo Dance

Nathan Sykes - There's Only One Of You

Cast Of La La Land - Another Day Of Sun

Chris Brown feat. Gucci Mane & Usher - Party

Mic Lowry - Oh Lord

Julia Michaels - Issues

I listen to quite a bit of music through various means, but here are the songs in the current Top 100 I couldn't sing straight off to you:

Childish Gambino - Redbone

Nathan Sykes - There's Only One of You

La La Land Cast - Another Day of Sun

Chris Brown et al - Party

Julia Michaels - Issues

I'm fairly clued up on chart music and listen to fan-made Youtube chart recaps.

I've not heard the following in full though

Alessia Cara - How Far I'll Go [i could hum bits of the chorus but no idea what the verses sound like]

Ryan Gosling/Emma Stone - City Of Stars [sounds really dull from the preview so I don't plan on changing that]

Nathan Sykes - There's Only One Of You [likewise]

La La Land - Another Day Of Sun [no interest in ever hearing this]

Chris Brown - Party [guess I'll give it a chance if it ever takes off but I'm not interested at the moment]

The Weeknd - Party Monster [sounds quite boring from the clip]

J Cole - Deja Vu [same]

Noah Cyrus - Make Me (Cry) [same]

I always make sure I listen to every single top 40 hit (unless it really couldn't be any further from my interests & an obvious one week wonder like that Choir For Invictus Games song last year) but I pay little attention to much else now. Most of the music I actively listen to are in random playlists or YT recommendations...

From the top 100 these are the ones I haven't heard yet:

44 Little Mix ~ Oops [feat. Charlie Puth] (not sure about this, maybe I've already listen to it once but not more, I'm sure)

50 Alessia Cara ~ How Far I'll Go

53 Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone ~ City Of Stars

63 Martin Jensen ~ Solo Dance (just listening to this one )

64 Childish Gambino ~ Redbone

65 Nathan Sykes ~ There's Only One Of You

75 La La Land Cast ~ Another Day Of Sun

83 MiC LOWRY ~ Oh Lord

85 Julia Michaels ~ Issues

97 Noah Cyrus ~ Make Me (Cry) [feat. Labrinth]

Obviously I heard the top 40 as I was hosting the Friday's chart show

I listen to new music less and less nowadays (lack of time :( ) so I'm quite surprised that my list is not longer :kink:

I've not heard the following from the top 100:

50 49 03 Alessia Cara ~ How Far I'll Go

53 72 02 Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone ~ City Of Stars

64 64 07 Childish Gambino ~ Redbone

Pretty good going tbh!

34 37 04 Migos ~ Bad and Boujee [feat. Lil Uzi Vert]

48 34 06 The xx ~ On Hold

53 72 02 Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone ~ City Of Stars

87 87 14 Giggs ~ Lock Doh [feat. Donae'o]

89 83 09 The Weeknd ~ Party Monster

92 78 06 J. Cole ~ déjà vu

Looking at the million sellers, the biggest selling single I'm unfamiliar with is Ken Dodd's Tears - restricting it to recent years it's Ed Sheeran's Photograph, which I presume isn't the Nickelback song.

Not heard these from the current top 100:

17 16 05 Machine Gun Kelly and Camila Cabello ~ Bad Things (I did listen to half of it a while ago and couldn't bear it, so turned it off)

20 32 08 Sage The Gemini ~ Now And Later

27 23 16 John Legend ~ Love Me Now

34 37 04 Migos ~ Bad and Boujee [feat. Lil Uzi Vert]

35 NE 01 Tinie Tempah ~ Text From Your Ex [feat. Tinashe]

:o Despite its peak of #15 this track feels like it's been played everywhere, all the time for the last few years.

I've actually heard everything in the top 100 as I make an effort to hear any new entries I'm not familiar with. Some only once or twice though and that's not always enough to remember how they go...I definitely couldn't hum the likes of Party and Deja Vu for example.

Could be one of those I've heard at some point but not known what/who it was? I only just heard both Castle On The Hill and Shape Of You earlier tonight!

These are all the million "sellers" (inc streaming) from Jester's list I don't think I know, not including any B or double-A sides:

Ken Dodd - Tears

Paul Anka - Diana

Engelbert Humperdinck - The Last Waltz

Mr. Acker Bilk & The Leon Young String Chorale - Stranger on the Shore

Gary Glitter - I Love You Love Me Love

Frank Ifield - I Remember You

The Weeknd - The Hills (definitely must have heard this and think I know how it goes, but not 100%)

Ed Sheeran - Photograph

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ft. Ray Dalton - Can't Hold Us

The Lumineers - Ho Hey

Bruno Mars - Locked Out of Heaven (unless it's the one that goes "You don't bring me flowers" but I think that's a different song?)

George Harrison - My Sweet Lord

And from the 'nearly there' section:

Cliff Richard & The Shadows - The Next Time

Fetty Wap - Trap Queen

Pussycat - Mississippi

Major Lazer ft. Nyla & Fuse ODG - Light It Up (another I must have heard but the name doesn't ring a bell)

Eminem ft. Rihanna - The Monster

Before anyone's like "omg wat", that's from a list of over 250 songs - I like to think knowing the remaining 230+ is still fairly above average!

Songs I haven't heard from the Top 100:

20 32 08 Sage The Gemini ~ Now And Later

24 27 09 Robin Schulz and David Guetta ~ Shed A Light [feat. Cheat Codes]

30 29 15 The Vamps and Matoma ~ All Night

40 51 03 Snakehips and MØ ~ Don't Leave

42 61 02 M.O ~ Not In Love [feat. Kent Jones]

53 72 02 Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone ~ City Of Stars

59 69 06 Sigala and Digital Farm Animals ~ Only One

61 70 05 Naughty Boy ~ Should've Been Me [feat. Kyla and Popcaan]

65 67 02 Nathan Sykes ~ There's Only One Of You

75 NE 01 La La Land Cast ~ Another Day Of Sun

85 NE 01 Julia Michaels ~ Issues

87 87 14 Giggs ~ Lock Doh [feat. Donae'o]
