Aeroche finished on top for a fourth year in a row in 2016, can anyone stop them this year? Keep up with all the exciting developments in this thread :o (using a more basic format this year so I don't keep delaying posting updates by weeks) As before all ties are broken by number of votes, then number of 18s, 15s etc. (and ties in the votes and 18s based lists are first broken by total points). The songs EOY ranks songs based on their percentage of the maximum possible score they could achieve in that contest (i.e. if they received 18 from every other country). March 3, 20178 yr Author BJSC 92 update YTD by points - Ultraviolenceland stay comfortably on top as they picked up another top 10 hit in their home contest. Pupok repeated their 4th place finish from BJSC 91 and move up to 2nd, slightly closing the gap between the top 2. A sizeable win in this contest for South Danaelanda sees them rocketing up to 3rd place despite their underwhelming performance in BJSC 91, and similarly they are followed in the YTD top 5 by the rest of this contest's top 3, Yehesi and Hendinia in that order, all three climbing up from outside the top 20. - Ramrynia and Cor Lupus both achieved back-to-back top 10 hits in the first two contests of the year as well, but the former drop four places to #6 and the latter are just up three to #7. République d'Ashton's first top 10 hit for years moves them up to #8 in the YTD, while St. Burbia drop a bit to 9th, and Niceland climb to #10 courtesy of 2 strong top 20 finishes though they've not yet cracked the top 10 of an individual contest. March 27, 20178 yr Author BJSC 93 update YTD by points - Another win for the YTD leaders Ultraviolenceland so of course they stay at the top, now expanding their lead to a formidable 230 points over second place. Last month's winners South Danaelanda got another top 10 in their home contest and move up one to a comfortable 2nd place in the YTD. Ramrynia and Cor Lupus both had their first entries of the year to not go top 10, but consistency matters here and they both climb into the top 5, up 6-3 and 7-5 respectively. Between them, Espen rocket up from 17th to 4th as they clicked into gear with a big silver medallist in this contest after modest sized hits in the previous two. - St. Burbia's second top 10 hit of the year pushes them back up from 9th to 6th, only 11 points behind 4th place. Beaverdonia re-enter the top 10, climbing 11-7, with the same points in the year to date as République d'Ashton but a few more votes. Ashton hold steady in 8th place. Despite an underwhelming finish for their anniversary entry, the slow upwards march of Aeroche is still happening as they move 14-9 to crack the top 10 for the first time this year - never count them out. Also making the top 10 for the first time this year, Unovia climb 20-10 after a second top 15 hit in a row. A DNQ hits Pupok hard as they plummet from 2nd to 11th, although it's all very tight around the lower end of the top 10. Yehesi, Hendinia and Niceland also drop out of the top 10 following DNQs. Espen prevail in this version of the results, narrowly ahead of Ultraviolenceland. This is only the third time this has happened, following BJSCs 28 and 77 where the 12 point system winners were respectively Lotopialand (Darin's 'Lovekiller') and Aeroche (Ponibbi's 'HEARTSKIP'), ahead of the real winners Ashton (Molly Sandén's 'Mitt Liv Är Mitt') and Aquafina (Alex Metric and Jacques Lu Cont's 'Safe With You' (feat. Malin)). So if the 12 point system results were canon for all contests, Espen would finally have a win, Aeroche would be matching FSR Rontvia's win count, Lotopialand would also have a win, Aquafina and Ultraviolenceland would be reduced to just the one win, and poor brave République d'Ashton would be on 93 entries without ever winning. But it's not canon. So soz Cal. :'( Some other interesting results here as well this month, with Land of DW doing even better here and Deandria being all the way up in the top 5, as well as Unovia also being top 10. Beaverdonia were the biggest gainers from the 18 point system for a second month in a row. Queens of trickle points.

March 27, 20178 yr *There's reasonable belief that the results of 28 were engineered to be a tie and were not a true tie so Ashton would have won regardless had Tirren not had a penchant for drama. I'm aghast at being top 10 in the YTD. It's been literally YEARS.
