But just wait a minute... HERE! COMES! AEROCHE! The four-time end of year #1 nation is kicking into full power in their quest for a fifth year in a row at the top, as another top 5 hit in this contest sees them pull up 5-2, their highest position of the year and just 143 points behind. Kings of bronze, Hendinia came 3rd again this month (for the eighth time in their history) and appropriately move into the bronze slot here, climbing 7-3. These movements push Cor Lupus down 2-4, while Trifoski also drop a place to 5th. - South Danaelanda suffered their first DNQ of the year but aren't too badly wounded on the YTD, dropping only 3-6. Unovia resurge after their own first DNQ of the year in the previous contest, recovering 10-7. St. Burbia secured their 4th top 10 hit of the year this month and it returns them to the YTD top 10, pushing them up 12-8, leapfrogging Espen who hold at #9. The top 10 is completed by another nation returning to the top tier, Pupok who zoom up 14-10 after getting a silver medal this month, their biggest hit of the year so far. It was a DNQ too far for Ultraviolenceland whose second consecutive narrow miss costs them dearly again, they were still #1 just two months back but now drop 6-11. Altyr Muunilinst's dramatic last place in the semi-final result pushes them down 8-14. - Kluminican Republic's top 5 hit this month sees them rise 17-13, Yehesi continue to slowly ascend, up a further place to 15th, D'yermak'er climb two to 16th, Taahino are in their familiar territory of the mid teens rising 21-17, Hushkanukia climb 29-18 after grabbing their second biggest hit to date this month and FARC return to the top 20, up 23-20. I'm not as bitter as I normally would be because that would have been at the expense of Cumulonimbia and we can't have that. x Harmonica were absolutely KILLING IT with the trickle points this month, they got 60 points from a total of 18 voters, and just two of those voters (Cor Lupus and Yehesi) ranked them in their top 10, leading to the lowest ever 'adjusted' score for a song that made it through a semi-final :o This despite it being a contest with 67 voters, and the fact it wasn't even a borderline qualifier (it made it through pretty comfortably in 14th place). I'm also not surprised at all by that Harmonica record - it only just missed out on my points in the final after having got my trickle points in the semi! :lol:

(PS I am aware the S DNLD flag is a little out of date, I will go back and edit it in this thread / my flags collation thread in the coming days lol xx) - edit: done x BJSC 99 update YTD by points - Despite a top three hit in BJSC 99 from Aeroche, Ramrynia hit hard enough on the country niche voters to carry their top 20 streak, unbroken in the year to date, to 9 in a row and thus manage to hold their own at #1 on the YTD though their lead shrinks from 143 to 77. Both Ramrynia and Aeroche pass the 2,000 points mark. With just the big BJSC 100 to go the end of year #1 appears to be a fight to the death between the two :o Hendinia and Cor Lupus hold their positions of 3rd and 4th respectively and may still manage to shock the world and clinch EOY victory at the last minute if they smash while the main contenders stumble. Maybe on the very fringe of possibility Unovia could still have a chance too but it'd require them smashing even harder this time than in BJSC 99, where they landed their first ever winner which duly propels them 7-5 putting them in their highest position of the year. - Trifoski slip back a place to 6th. Ultraviolenceland returned to their top form from the beginning of the year, grabbing BJSC 99's silver medal after two DNQs in a row, and that puts them back in the top 10 here, up 11-7 and leapfrogging South Danaelanda who drop another two places to #8 despite qualifying this time. Kluminican Republic's top 20 streak nearly rivals that of Ramrynia, they've come top 20 in seven straight contests and have been marching up the YTD consistently, they now finally crack the top 10 with a 13-9 rise. Pupok hold the fort as a non-mover at #10. St. Burbia and Espen lose their top 10 status following DNQs in BJSC 99, dropping 8-13 and 9-14 respectively. - Altyr Muunilinst nearly recover back to the YTD top 10 after their fumble last month, a top 10 finish in BJSC 99 sees them back up 14-11 here, just ahead of a non-moving Jadakissnia. D'yermak'er creep up a place to #15 swapping with Yehesi. FARC climb 20-18 following their fourth top ten hit of the year, FSR Rontvia improve 21-19 after also grabbing a top 10, and Persephonia are at last in the YTD top 20 too with a 24-20 climb after our top 5 success (we won't match our top 10 success in the 2015 and 2016 EOYs but let's gooo top 20). FSR Rontvia made the top 3 here pushing the 3rd-5th placed songs down a place each (and thus denying us our top 5... thank you 18 point system! x) A couple of the more niche interest entries that just missed the top 10 make it under this system, with Kluminican Republic and Deandria sneaking in over Hendinia and Altyr Muunilinst (the second time this year this has happened for Deandria).

October 16, 20177 yr That's a mighty gap between me & 21st, think top 20 is just out of reach! Also really interesting to note that none of the current top 4 have won a contest this year (yet), consistency really is paramount!
