That was my thinking - and that's why it stands out nicely.

 

Incidentally I mixed Rudimental 'Feel The Love' into 'Be The One' last night in my DJ set - they are similar BPMs which is pretty much all they have in common - not DnB :P the 'too hoooo, too hoooo, ohhhhh, ohhhhh" bit mixes in nicely with the intro to 'Be The One'

I know she sounds far from indie now, but in her earlier days AKA when Be The One was first released, she was definitely being marketed as an indie or alt girl.

It's a pop song. Just because its uptempo doesn't make it dance.

 

But it has a light drum and bass, or at least a breakbeat, beat to it. I never thought it was serious drum and bass, just drum and bass pop, a bit like Amelia Lily"s Party Over.

It's definitely got a 1990s vibe to it, elements of the poppier side of rave at points (the synth pads, the vocal structure of the chorus). It's like a (way inferior) version of this '92 classic:
