Posted March 7, 20178 yr It's taken over four years, but the time has come for Quintessa to step up and host a contest, so benvenuto to the bustling metropolis of Copperelli for the first time. And what a contest to be asked to host, as without a doubt the e80s is my favourite decade of music and I'm probably one of the few regular countries to have been born in the decade. This was an experimental time in music where electronic and synths were popular, hip-hop was on the rise, and rock went through its glorious power ballad stage. These are the dates of the contest as planned, and as I pride myself on punctuality, hopefully this will be correct. Confirmations - March 9th Final Voting - March 16th Final Results - March 30th Here are the rules by which this spin-off will follow, the usual; 1.) No songs that have charted in the UK top 10 (songs that charted lower may still be vetoed if they are deemed to be too well-known, though the veto will be much less strict than in a standard contest) 2.) No songs by artists who have artist forums on BuzzJack (I think this only applies to Madonna & Kylie anywhoos) 3.) No songs that have previously appeared in the BuzzJack Song Contest or any of its spinoffs. and specifically for this contest 4.) All songs must have been released in some format between 01/01/1980 and 31/12/1989, no eighties-influenced tracks from other periods or modern remixes of 80s classic, we're looking for genuine 80s tracks, and the more 80s a feel to the entry the better. So we'll leave you all with the Hendinian track that probably reignited the passion for spin-off URXPVszAVsA Get hypin'

March 7, 20178 yr booo I was hoping for TV themes of some kind of foreign pop or something. (Yas @ Quintessa hosting though!)
March 7, 20178 yr Author booo I was hoping for TV themes of some kind of foreign pop or something. (Yas @ Quintessa hosting though!) You can still do either of those things, just from the 80s. In fact, there are some fab 80s TV theme tunes, so you can really kill two birds with one stone. :cheer: Edited March 7, 20178 yr by Leonardo
